Hi everyone! It's been a while since I actually posted a thread, but I have been online. I was testing out Durant and I'm wondering is this decklist look right? It seems to be doing well for me. lol Thanks! :D

Pokemon: 8

4 Durant NV
1 Cobalion NV
1 Rotom UD
1 Spiritomb TM
1 Mime Jr. CL

Supporters and Trainers: 42

4 Pokemon Collector
3 N
3 Twins
2 Professor Juniper
1 Professor Oak’s New Theory
1 Seeker
4 Victory Medal
4 Dual Ball
2 Pokegear 3.0
4 Junk Arm
3 Eviolite
2 Pokemon Catcher
2 Crushing Hammer
2 Lost Remover
2 Revive (Don’t have anymore…..)
2 Super Rod
1 Switch

Energy: 10

6 Metal Energy
4 Special Metal Energy

Strategy: Get out four Durant as soon as possible to use Devour. Try to deck your opponent out as soon as possible with Durant.

IMO, you don't need Spiritomb. At my City last Sunday I started with it twice and it always prevented me from getting the T1 Durant. After you use it, it just sits there.

Ok.

First of all, Spiritomb and Mime Jr are bad. Mime Jr is a baby the lost zones one card.

I like to use Rainbow Energy in Durant too, so if your opponent has a low HP lone Zekrom out, you can knock it out and win.

You really need to add more Revive, so try and trade for those, and take Spiritomb and Mime Jr out for them (I have plenty, when will you go to league?)

Okay I'll definitely add in the two more Revive. I'll try to come this weekend to league.

What should I take out for the Rainbow Energy?

I prefer two, but that's just me. Take out Metals for them (don't want too many energy), but be careful to not put in too many Rainbow because you won't want to have to attach them.

I know this might not be a "favorite" post for some people (maybe even the OP), but I despise Victory Medal in this deck. The argument I heard some people have for putting it in their builds is that they found Twins was becoming less useful so they clipped them completely out of the deck. Don't ask me, just heard it from someone. Even if that isn't the popular reason for putting them in, I have never seen a need for them. I like other cards that serve a better purpose for relying on a 25% chance of getting any card out of the deck.

Like bumping up the Pokegear to a max of four. It really helps guaranteeing that T1 Collector or really any other Supporter you need. It's quite simply one of the best cards in the deck for setting up, I've found. That with the combination of bumping up the Pokemon Catcher and Crushing Hammer would really help. Both cards are so necessary for a turbo version of Durant because it ensures that you slow down your opponent enough to survive an extra turn or two of Devour. I do also agree with the previous posts bumping up the Revives. They're great for helping the constant "four card" devours. Whether you found this post useful or not, I hope you take some of the advice here and maybe apply it to your build in testing and see if it really helps.

dmaster out.

- 1 Cobalion
- 1 Mime Jr.
- 1 Spiritomb
- 3 N
- 4 Victory Medal
- 1 Seeker
- 2 Super Rod

+ 2 Pokegear 3.0
+ 3 Professor Oak's New Theory
+ 2 Crushing Hammer
+ 1 Pokemon Catcher
+ 2 Professor Juniper
+ 1 Twins

(There are two cards that need to be added; I suggest two more Revive or a Flower Shop Lady and something else)

Tell me; if your strategy is "Deck your opponent out as soon as possible," then why are you running Cobalion, Mime Jr., and Spiritomb? Cobalion is terrible. Please don't fall for the hype. I'd rather get an extra turn of milling, rather than set down Catcher bait that could cost me the game. It wastes a turn and forces you to either run more Energy, or sacrifice Energy you could have been using on Durant. I have tested Cobalion, and I'm just going to say it didn't help me like I thought it would. Mime Jr. isn't great, either; you're basically LZing one card so your opponent can set up on you. Lost Remover Lost Zones enough things for Mime Jr. to be garbage. Spiritomb looks good on paper, but in the end, you're likely helping your opponent get a hand that benefits them. Plus, Catcher bait is mean.

Now onto N. N is also a bad card in this deck, and it's pretty much the same reason Spiritomb was dismissed. I've tried N, and I never used it once in my games. You know why? Because my opponents were left with 1-2 card hands, and I didn't want to help them by giving them a 5-6 card draw. I'd rather let them suffer with a dead hand instead of refreshing it. It's exactly why I maxed PONT; it could care less about what your opponent does, and still helps you. I've never tested VM, but I can vouch for Dmaster based on his post. Twins is a much better option because you only run 2 Revive. Once a Durant gets KO'd, you need it the next turn, no questions asked. Seeker is pretty pointless unless you're that scared of Chandyplume, and Flower Shop Lady is a much better alternative over Super Rod (if you choose to run it).

I maxed out Juniper and PONT because the draw power Durant gains from them is insane. Plus, your hand will most likely be worth sacrificing with Juniper because you run so few Pokemon, and the useless T/S/S can be thrown away. 4 Pokegear 3.0 is a must for a T1 Collector; without it, good luck on getting one. 4 Crushing Hammer is also necessary because you need to keep the Energy off of Pokemon like Reshiram and Zekrom to prevent them from KOing you. If you can Catcher up a Zekrom EX and keep the Energy off of it, you're handed the game, which is why 4 Hammers is a must. 3 Catcher is great for the extra disruption factor, and maxed Twins is also necessary. Grabbing what you need when you need it is fantastic, and honestly, Durant's Plan B is Twins. When that Revive or Switch is missing from your hands, Twins will save you, guaranteed (unless it's in your Prizes, of course).

Hope this helped, and good luck with wherever you take this deck.

Edit: Oh, yes; you may want to consider a Rainbow Energy for Rotom. If Zekrom Bolt Strikes twice, you can KO it with Plasma Arrow.

This is overteched. The only pokemon you need other than Durant are Rotom and maybe Tyrogue. This will give you a fast and consistant mill

Yeah I took the Mime Jr., Spiritomb, and Cobalion out. I'm thinking of adding back in the Cobalion for the Durant mirror match up. Anyone know if Cobalion is worth keeping in the deck for the mirror match up?

It would be more effective to add more super rods

Don't you mean to add more Revives? That would make more sense...

For the Durant mirror? Super Rod would put cards back into your deck.

This is the decklist I have been using and it has been doing considerably well. The one tournament I used this I went 5-2 and got second. You don't have to use this list, just my prefrences.

Cobalion is needed for sudden death in top cut (durant cant do damage worth crap) and mime jr is good for stalling until you get stuff to revive ants ive gotten top cut at both cities ive entered. my list is on here somewhere.
