ah yeah, I just compared the right corner. true. The blue holo scan is weird, but it looks like the Leafeon card has a small stream running across the bottom left.

Oh yeah you're right because the outlines match up in and out of the blue (there are flowers in the "river").I don’t Even think there is a River tbqh I think it’s the weird Holo Effect from the „Scan“ or official Artwork.
I feel like China demands for special treatment from Pokémon. When they got Pokémon Quest, they got regular updates and events that added Pokémon from after Kanto and a ton of other exclusive content. Apparently Chinese Minecraft also got a truckload of mobs not found in vanilla Minecraft elsewhere in the world. Why weren't these cards ARs in prismatic evolutions :/ even as someone who supports the pokemon tcg with my whole heart, it's still sad to see that they choose to go the extra mile with some things but hold off on others, when they have such fantastic artists at their disposal, and they can obviously do stuff like this.
I don’t think it has to do with that necessarily while there is a bit of truth in it. China is much more consumer driven in this aspect. For Pokémon cards the appeal of exclusive content is obvious: people outside of China will buy your cards. But for video games, I’m not sure what the exact motivation is for demanding a better version of the game. Do they firmly believe that the average player should be able to get x number of ours out of a game? Are video games commonly imported into China to the point that exclusive content is needed to make sales? Do the officials or executives in charge of the negotiation have a genuine enthusiasm for video games (or a respect for that enthusiasm in customers)? Do they just find a petty pleasure in having a superior version of the game to other countries?
no its totally wrong china gets tons of exclusive and preferential treament, TO THIS DAY pokemon quest is ACTIVELY being updated in china while it has been dead since the first world everywhere else, TONS AND TONS of exclusive products and cardsI don’t think it has to do with that necessarily while there is a bit of truth in it. Japan is much more direct. They are playing more than we do too.
For Pokemon cards and for the above is not “that they demand” better treatment, I just think they have the better sales team. It is not Japan who decides their market or ours, and the one for the western audience obviously think they can do with the least work possible. I belive China as a whole buys more cards than the US tho.
Bring it back!Weird seeing a "new" fairy card in 2025
It’s not wrong. You talking bs in both if your post: there isn’t one person deciding who gets what. They have their own divions and the one in China just does a better job.no its totally wrong china gets tons of exclusive and preferential treament, TO THIS DAY pokemon quest is ACTIVELY being updated in china while it has been dead since the first world everywhere else, TONS AND TONS of exclusive products and cards
Why? What would be the purpose of this?i seriously wouldnt doubt if they pulled these IR cards from prismatic to make them china exclusive
It’s them being salty. They don’t unterstand that China has a different distributor who is just handling it better. Why? What would be the purpose of this?
I'm aware they are handled by different companies, the final say is still on the pokemon company though, they are strict with what they let companies do ever since WOTC, If they don't want something they won't let a company print it, do you think tencent is allowed to print whatever exclusives and all without the pokemon company giving the go ahead? If you don't think Japan gives preferential treatment to japanese stuff (exclusive cards that never see english) then you are crazy. Same goes for China, English however never recieves any English exclusive cards, and if we do it's very very few, meanwhile China has been getting exclusive arts, exclusive packs, stuff western audiences have been begging for for years and years, they just don't care cause they know they don't have to put in any effort for the western audience meanwhile China is newer so they are putting more effort in/allowing more exclusives. If the people in charge of the western audience suggested a special set with English only exclusive art cards you know it would be shot down immediately. It’s not wrong. In your fantasy there is someone sitting in Japan and telling people to do this in China and that in western territories. That is simply not the case. Get a grip on reality.
Pokémon cards are distributed by different companies in various regions, even though it’s the same franchise.
1. Japan: In Japan, Pokémon cards are distributed by The Pokémon Company itself. These cards are the original ones and often the first editions released.
2. Western World (USA, Europe, etc.): In North America and Europe, The Pokémon Company International handles the distribution and localization of the cards. It’s still the same company, but with a separate division for the western markets.
3. China: In China, the distribution of Pokémon cards is handled by Tencent in collaboration with The Pokémon Company. The cards sold in China may differ in some details (e.g., language versions or special sets) from those in other regions.
In summary: While The Pokémon Company plays a role in all three regions, there are different subsidiaries or partners that manage the distribution.
I don't actually think this but it really feels like these should be in prismatic evolutions. I mean either way they knew prismatic wouldn't stay on the shelf with or without IR. Weird to have 1 of the most hype sets be the ONLY set in sv without IR then months later China gets the eevee set with IRs that look and fit prismatic. Just sayingWhy? What would be the purpose of this?
I know they are preferential to Japan, as they should be. It’s their cultural property. All of what you said still doesn’t dismiss the fact that the western division is just shit and China is handling it better. If it isn’t for exclusive cards, it is for all the stupid boxes they bring out.I'm aware they are handled by different companies, the final say is still on the pokemon company though, they are strict with what they let companies do ever since WOTC, If they don't want something they won't let a company print it, do you think tencent is allowed to print whatever exclusives and all without the pokemon company giving the go ahead? Again, delusional. Japan would have put them in if they wanted them too. They are not even the cards from terstial festival and it wouldn’t have made a difference for Japanese pulls. It was only a problem, again, for the way TPCI handled the set. Get them from China if you want them.I don't actually think this but it really feels like these should be in prismatic evolutions. All of the Chinese cards are printed in Japan.Oh definitely. China is printing so many not even scalpers are able to keep up to rack up the prices
