Expanded Format for Entirety of Houston's Regionals... Expanded Expanding?

This is a pretty poor decision overall. Aside from trivializing Standard, Expanded as a competitive format isn't exactly a great idea. Aside from just stagnating the game with a nearly unchanging format. The fact that TPC isn't known for banning cards means that problematic strategies will just run wild until they start regularly issuing bans. Then you have the issue people have mentioned with B&W cards being pretty expensive now.

I just hope that TO's don't get confused by Regionals becoming Expanded and start making the other events in the season for that format alone. It would be a complete joke if to play in Nationals and Worlds (the big Standard events), you have to get points from solely Expanded, a entirely different format.

Expanded format is the dumbest thing ever. I was actually thinking about learning how to play, but it's so intimidating to know that I'd have to study sooo many sets. With every 3 months that goes by, another set comes out, making it increasingly daunting for new players to put their feet in the water. Rotations are the only way to keep everyone on even footing.
