safariblade, I liked your first idea (bottom of page 3) much more than your current one. I'd vote for it; it's actually my favorite so far, with scampy's close behind.

My Entry: =]

Leameow (Leaf + Meow)
Grass Kitten Pokémon
Type: Grass
HT: 3'4" WT: 57.2 Ibs.
It playfully prances around wooded areas. The plant life growing on it is a good indicator of it's health.
Evolves with the Dusk Stone >
Bag_Dusk_Stone_Sprite.png

Bruscratch (Brush + Scratch)
Grass Cat Pokémon
Type: Grass/Dark
HT: 4'7" WT: 159.6 Ibs.
A ferocious, short-tempered Pokémon. It will protect it's trainer or family at all costs.

Evolves into Florion at Lv. 36

Florion (Floral + Lion)
Grass Lion Pokémon
Type: Grass/Dark
HT: 6'5" WT: 335.3 Ibs.
The leaves on Florion's tail are suprisingly strong. If it moves it's tail quickly around an adult human, the gust could floor them.

Wow, a Grass Lion!

Thanks, I'm glad you like them. Sure, you can use them. Just give me credit for the original concept. I'd also like to see the end result when you get done! =]

Not to sound critical Shining Raikou but it doesn't look bulky or defensive. It looks very agile and slim. Other than that it's awesome, I wish I had drawing skills...

i've been having troubles coloring my pokemon but i managed to fix up their pokedex entries:

Armaphyll Lv. 25 -> Vivaphyll Lv. up w/ Protector -> Delphyllium

Armaphyll (Armadillidiidae + Chlorophyll)
Woodlouse Pokemon
HT: 1'3" WT: 25.6 lbs.
If in a dangerous situation, Armaphyll naturally curl into a ball to prevent damage. The vines on their face serve as extra eyes to see during the night.

Vivaphyll (Vibration + Chlorophyll)
Leaf Pokemon
HT: 4'8" WT: 110.6 lbs.
Vivaphyll are nocturnal pokemon. Their wings will give off a horrid screech when they find food. Vivaphyll can fly away from danger but cannot fly for long as their wings are weak.

Delphyllium ( Delirium + Chlorophyll)
Tree Pokemon
HT: 9'11" WT: 432.1 lbs.
The cherry at Delphyllium's tail give off a powerful toxin that can cause anybody near it to become delirious. their skin is made of pure Oak and is extremely difficult to break through. At night, Delphyllium sleep with their mouths open to fool smaller pokemon to go inside, thinking they are going into a cavern.

I tried to keep them grass/dark based as hard as could, even though the first two pokemon are based upon bugs. i'll be editing on pictures.

This is my final submission, complete with dex entries

Siniseed, the Acorn Pokemon

"It lives on top of tall trees to escape predators. If it falls, the helmet on its head protects it from most injuries."

Walnite, the Blocker Pokemon

"It prefers to live in secluded environments. Its arms are used to both block attacks, and absorb more energy through photosynthesis."

Juggernut, the Shield Pokemon

"The helmet it wears is as hard as steel. When threatened, it can wrap up its arms to form an impenetrable defense."

Hey, I just joined and I hope I can finish my entry before Sunday! I know exactly what I want to do, it's just getting it drawn that's the hard part.

Some cool entries here. :)

I would like to get into this fun, but it seems that I've entered a bit too late. Oh well. Maybe the next contest.

That is one cool Dinosaur. Only thing I see is once again they are slim, and not bulky. Your entries give that appearence but I would consider making them a bit thicker if you go the time.

I think you're right. I've been having trouble trying to draw them all bulky and defensive so yeah. But thanks anyways. ;3

From the banned realm, safari sends his entry

POPITT
the puppet pokemon
http://img267.imageshack.us/img267/7012/popitt.jpg
type: grass
egg type: humanshape
ability: inanimate
height: 2'06''
weight: 0.5 lbs.

HP-------50
ATK------0
DEF------60
SPATK---0
SPDEF---60
SPEED---0
TOTAL---170 (one of the lowest base stats ever)

~moves~
level----move----------type-----damage----range
start----soul share----dark------none-------self
start----seclusion-----dark-------none------self
no hms
no tms
no egg moves
no move tutors

pokedex entry:
popitt tend to live own their own. they cannot move unless attached with their stings to another living being

more data:
the wooden body of this pokemon helps to protect it. this pokemon and its evolutionary family, can only move while attaching its strings (whitch come from various points on its body) to the enemy pokemon, other wild pokemon, or its trainer. the pokemon or person the strings attach to cannot see, or feel the strings, however popitt takes some qualities from the being it attaches to. such as an opponents moves or stats, or its trainer's mood or feelings.
when popitt and its family use heir signature move, (soul merge) they are able to copy the last move an opponent used, as well as their attack, special attack, and speed stats. popitt does, however keep its defenses as well as its HP

NECROPITT
the possession pokemon
http://img267.imageshack.us/img267/7384/necropitt.jpg
evolves from popitt at level 16
type: grass/ dark
egg type: humanshape
ability: inanimate
height: 4'08''
weight: 1.0 lbs.

HP-------70
ATK------0
DEF------80
SPATK---0
SPDEF---80
SPEED---0
TOTAL---230

~moves~
level----move----------type-----damage----range
start----soul share----dark------none-------self
start----seclusion-----dark-------none------self
16------synthesis------grass-----none-------self
30------leaf blade-----grass-----90----------physical. one opponent
31------shadow ball---ghost-----80----------special. one opponent
no hms
no tms
no egg moves
no move tutors

pokedex entry:
necropitt lurk deep in the forest waiting for a victim to come by so it can steal its fear

more data:
necropitt, just like popitt, must use soul merge to attack its foes. it is also, however, able to use other moves as well.
now that popitt has evolved, it is not as happy and joyful as it once was. it now has no happiness because of it seeing so many other's happiness in possessing them. necropitt has also gained many stat boosts from its last stage, with HP, defense, and special defense at an extreme high.
ecropitt now has the ability to shape shift its body slightly to make simple improvemrnts. (a sharp edged arm, a ridged back, etc)

SHAUDUPETT
the possession pokemon
http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/1633/shaudupett.jpg
type: grass/ dark
egg type: humanshape
ability: inanimate
height: 6'3''
weight: 2.0 lbs

HP-------110
ATK------0
DEF------150
SPATK---0
SPDEF---150
SPEED---0
TOTAL---310

~moves~
level----move----------type-----damage----range
start----soul share----dark------none-------self
start----seclusion-----dark-------none------self
36------toxic----------poison-----none------opponent
45-----dark pulse-----dark------80----------special. one opponent
60----wood hammer--grass-----120--------physical. one opponent
85----destiny bond----ghost------none------self and opponent

no hms
no tms
no egg moves
no move tutors

pokedex entry:
shaudupett is constantly switching hosts for its soul and shape shifting its body. for this reason, you may not ever see it close by

more data:
shaudupett is now fully evolved. it may be large, but it weights little because of its hollow body. it can now reach its strings over long distances and through tangible objects. it can also use its new moves to inflict both physical and special damage after soul merging. you can use your opponent's stats wisely by choosing which moves to use.

~ABILITY INANIMATE~
This pokemon cannot be affected by status conditions or take critical hits or recoil. This pokemon is also unable to evade attacks or deal critical hits.

~SOUL MERGE MOVE~
the user sends out invisible strings to attach to the enemy. neither can now escape battle. the user copies attack, special attack, and speed stats, as well as the last move the opponent uses (replaces soul merge). you cannot baton pass or substitute or roar out of this. if one opponent faints, so does the other unless a move is used to cancel this affect.

~SECLUSION~
when this move is used, if the opponent that is locked in soul merge faints, the user keeps 1 remaining HP.

(i think this is done)
(scampy, pleas post this on the thread as well)
everyone look for typos too haha

also... i might redo necropitt

Mine are done :)

FLEOW [flee-OW]
DANDELION POKeMON
{G}

A playful and curious POKeMON. FLEOEW loves to make friends with other GRASS-type POKeMON in fields and flowerbeds where it can most commonly be found.

(Its name is a combination of the "fl" from "flower" and the "eow" or "meow," the sound a kitten makes.)

ROSACLAW [RAWZ-uh-claw]
THORNCAT POKeMON
{G} {D}

This cynical POKeMON became lonely and antisocial after defeating too many of its friends in battle. ROSACLAW uses the spiky ball at the end of its tail to attack.

(Its name is a combination of the "ros" from "rose" and "claw," an anatomical element associated with felines. The "a" was added to make the name flow better.)

BLUDGLION [BLUHDJ-lee-awn]
GLADIATOR POKeMON
{G} {D}

Aged and battle-worn, BLUDGLION keeps to itself most of the time. It can easily take down an Indian elephant with the brutal ball on the end of its tail.

(Its name is a combination of the "bludg" from the verb "bludgeon, or "to beat with a blunt object, such as the ball at the end of its tail," and "lion.")
