We don't need a point system. That will simply overcomplicate things. As this is a public vote (which is something I will not change, this will not even be up for discussion), every single voter will have to post their ratings for every single submission. How boring would that be? We would lose interest, which is the exact opposite of what we are aiming for here.
For reasons already stated, I don't think anonymous entries will work either.
Yes. Yes we do. Without a point system or grading criteria, some entrys will have unfair votes.
It does not complicate things. WHen you join a pokebeach clan, you fill out a form listing the info they want you to put.
It also helps the members for future contests. If you merely dont vote for them, they know you didnt like it, but they dont know why.
With a point system or grading criteria, you can easily see what areas you lack in or need to improve on.
Large official contests like this should have full DETAILED criteria.
Just saying: "Oh I like this one." Is not good enough. It doesnt give a full fair evaluation of the entry nor does it help the artist improve.
Bacon, you should understand that more then anyone.
I dont mind losing this. No i dont. I just think entrys like mine deserve a better evaluation.
(But I bet Scampy or Xous could take my entry and computer edit it to look amazing.)
ON a different note, if you are trying to create a full new pokedex, you need more then just 1 good bug entry.
You should pick 2 or 3 good entrys from each contest.
The 1st Gen pokedex has....lets see....more then 4 bug types. Gen 4 has more then 6.
