as far as heroes go my favorites are Link and especially pre-Other M Samus Aran.

Good Guy: Optimus Prime from the movies Transformers, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
 
Bad - Yes, He Who Shall Not Be Named, Reshiwott. He is epic and noseless.
Good - Nevile Longbottom from the Harry Potter series.
