Fighting Variants (Landorus EX / Hawlucha)

Interesting. Crobat is good for setting up OHKOs. Which Ace Spec are you going to test it with?

I'm probably going to use Computer Search for maximum consistency.

Yea that makes sense. Was thinking Scoop Up Cyclone might be an ok ace spec to use as well.

What line of Crobat? I think 3-3-3 would be the best option IMO.

You are going to struggle getting Crobats out consistently with anything less than a 4-4-4.

True. That takes a lot of deck space up. But Fighting can just use Crobat, Landorus EX, Lucario EX, Hawlucha and would be good.

I played a 2/2 Drifblim line, but since special energy are becoming less common, I think I might stick with Toxicroak (revenge). A very underrated card that has always served me well.

I still feel Garbodor is the best support partner for Fighting, even if it can't attack. Garbotoxin nullifies annoying things like Pyroar (falling out of favor but still there), Aromatisse (really seals the deal shutting off Fairy Transfer), VirGen although it's still a tricky matchup, and even the stray Blastoise / Emboar among other things.

Another really cool thing you can do with Garbodor is slam M-Manectric.... hard. Disabling Hawlucha's Shining Spirit means that little one-prize bird can hit for weakness. All you need is a Strong Energy, Muscle Band, and a Laser, and you've one-shotted a M-Manectric-EX. Of course, the versaility doesn't stop there. Against Yveltal you can keep Shining Spirit active and ignore Yveltal-EX's resistance while only giving up one prize. A Mewtwo or perhaps even a Landorus can finish the job next turn. Hawlucha FFI is one of my favorite cards right now, and it's pretty easy to see why.

I found a great way to beat Psychics in Fighting decks(like this one) and/or whittle down the work needed to KO: A 2-2-2 ZubatGolbat-Crobat(PHF) line w/ no Rare Candies! Whether or not your deck consists of Barrage Medicham, or even Landorus-EX, if you don't have the energy, just evolve Zubat/Golbat, and whittle down the foe! Nice way to assist the Fighting powerhouses, don't you think so?

^ Proof: My PTCGO online deck:

Pokemon:
4-4 Medicham
2 Landorus
2-2-2 Crobat

Trainers(Partial list, as I don't have too much time left before I have to leave for college class, so I'll give you the meat):
...
1 Teammates
...
2 AZ
...
1 Lysandre's Trump Card
...
3 VS Seeker
...
2 Muscle Band
...

^ Combined w/ 6 Fighting energy, and a Crobat that requires only 1 colorless to attack, and ability to tack on the damage, so what if the deck is third-tier: underestimate that at your own peril!

^ Do you agree about my input?

Psychic decks don't cause much problem for Fighting decks. Landorus EX and Hawlucha do a great job of bopping Psychic types upside the face. In fact, I took out Lucario from my Fighting decks a while ago.

I totally agree that Crobat is strong in Fighting decks. With Landorus EX's snipe damage, you can knock out evolving basics incredibly easy, without having to play a Lysandre, or knock out 2 at a time. You can also just finish off weakened Pokemon with Golbat/Crobat and Hammerhead. It also allows Hawlucha to hit absurdly high amounts of damage. It's just an overall great inclusion to Fighting decks.

what is the crobat that goes on the deck? can i have a scan? What is the best lucario user variant for the fighting decks now? Any new cards that can be good for use? like maxie hidden trick

Fighting Crobat won at St. Louis regionals. I feel it deserves a skeleton as it is a really strong deck.

I'll be adding one. I myself bubbled with the deck at regionals and had I not bubbled would have played it for day 2. I feel like it is tier 1 in standard and the BDIF in Expanded. I'm not sure how well it will fare once Primal Clash is out though so I'll move it to tier 2.

Any news regarding the fighting decks? What is the best format in the moment? Also i heard landorus EX may become unusable so i want to know when that will happen.

Landorus-Crobat is surely the most competitive fighting deck right now. Probably the most competitive for ages, excluding Donphan.

Landorus EX is certain to rotate out of Standard format after Worlds, some time in September. But you sill still be able to play it in Expanded, most likely.

What would be the pokes you use on the fighting crobat deck? And how will you make the crobat/golbat go back to hand? I didnt find a deck list here so i thought maybe machamp the champion could add one base decklist in this thread, since the deck is now relevant and he is the owner of the thread.

I added it. You make Crobat / Golbat go back to your hand through a Scoop Up although it is not completely required for this deck to function.

Hey I got a question, would a deck with 2-2 trubbish/garbodor/ 2-2 medicham, lucario ex, landorus ex and hawlucha work? I wonder if it would be good for the meta game?

Medicham clunks up the deck so I would say no to Medicham. The garb / fighting version of fighting is decent right now but I think the Crobat variation is quite superior to it.

Do you guys think Lucario EX will be good once the rotation occurs? It will keep all of its support. Landorus EX is a better attacker now but Lucario EX can do a good amount of damage as well, and with the lilkly rotation being XY-on Mewtwo EX will be gone and there wont be many good psychic attackers after that aside from M Gallade EX and Gengar EX.

You still have Pumpkaboo in Night March though.
