Out of sheer boredom I actually started playing Radiant Dawn again for like the 8th (maybe even more) time ._.
Normal difficulty, though, it's just to cure boredom, I hate figuring out the attack zones myself, it's just so needlessly boring... That and a lot of other small things which annoy me about hard mode (I don't mind the difficulty). I somehow ended up always taking Ilyana with me, and somehow end up turning her into my best unit, but hard makes that, well, hard. I mean, even with resolve her speed is still pretty bad, thunder spells are horrible in this game (what were they thinking? "Oh, they're broken in PoR, let's make them terrible compared to the other spells now, as well as just making mages worse in general"...
...Poor Ilyana. Oh well, at least she doesn't turn into Calill upon class change anymore, I actually think this is what's stopping me from replaying PoR).
The fact that you can just stop for a short while without having to like, pause or whatever, as well as being able to listen to podcasts and whatnot make it a great time-killer. I still have a list of 10ish other really good games I have to beat, though...
Oh well, I usually use swordmasters (except for Edward, he's too good... And Stefan, because he's boring, nice weapon, though) and mages (Except for Soren because, well... you know. Calill, Tormod and Sanaki are barely used as well... I think that leaves about 2 non-light mages, which I also don't use ._.).
Mia (no idea why), Zihark (no idea why) and Ilyana (<3) are usually always on my team. I love the exaggerated vantage, adapt, critical, critical, adapt, critical, critical, *miss*, astrum, adapt, critical, critical with bravesword using Mia
(Zihark tends to be too unlucky for that) Especially later in the game when that does like 1 or 0 to the dragons (Why would you use a non-blessed brave sword, right?). My teams are usually very, very, very small as well. For example: I just beat chapter one only ever using Ilyana and Zihark, Sothe was holding Micaiah (+savior), and had no weapons (his only purpose was to steal stuff), and Volug just avoided battle, and that's really all that went with me as soon as I got Ilyana (who single-handedly took out a lot of stuff with weaponless Sothe as a lightning rod). Micaiah got all the bonus EXP because, well, forced class change, same goes for Ike usually.
And with that I end this needlessly needless rant about nothing.
