Drop out? It's not like this comment thread has required your active engagement, or anything, LOL. Patience grasshopper. The mods are determining whether there is enough demand for something that will require extra work on their part. I understand that. Let's encourage them, and let them know we will participate responsibly.

I understand, but I kind of wanted some heads up as to whats going to happen, if anything's going to hppen at all. And, in all honesty, I'm not too interested in jpnese cards that much anymore, mostly english meta

Great, thanks for the update omahanime', and for advocating for this. We all know SR will support this! :D Heck, I might even help support this subforum as a mod, if it becomes a reality.
 
IF this foreign forum does happen, it has been decided it will be only foreign product and the main will be only English product.

That makes little sense. I know there are multiple people on here that trade foreign deckboxes, and many of them have no interest in just trading for other deckboxes or foreign cards.
 
Simpler thing would seem to be requiring that every trade involves a foreign card or product. Another requirement could be that people creating threads can only have foreign cards/items in their want list. Both would allow trades that involve ENG cards, but would really focus trades toward foreign product and would seem to distinguish the subforum from the main forum.

For as much as my opinion in worth, as someone who is starting to get into Japanese card collecting and would love to take advantage of this new forum, I think this would be a great way to handle things. It's simple and effective and would hold true to the spirit of the idea of the forum.

While I can understand the desire for simplicity, to separate out foreign cards and English cards into separate forums totally, I think it would be a headache on users in the long run. The main issue I see is that there would be no good way to trade foreign cards/product for English cards/product and vice versa, though there could easily be other issues as well. Using a system like Catbus suggests above might prove to be a bit more work on the moderation/administration side of things (at least in the beginning), it would be simpler and easier for traders to connect and for everyone to get what they want.
 
Do you think it would be that much of an issue to work a deal between 2 threads?
 
People would do that if they had to, but it adds an extra layer of complexity that seems completely unnecessary.
 
No comments in here recently? Is this idea dead? I really think it would be awesome as I am constantly trying to wade through threads looking for the few people who have JPN cards. At minimum could we get a tag to add to threads that have JPN cards for easy searching (similar to the shipping tags we currently have)?
 
Thank you for your support. Discussions about changes to the Trading Corner, if any, are happening. The problem is everyone involve is busy and sometimes other things need addressing here at PokéBeach. The many suggestions brought up in this thread are being taken under consideration. I support this idea because even though PokéBeach does not have a large foreign collector base, I believe it has the biggest potential to grow.

I have an idea for the meantime if you would allow it. I would like to simply create a thread on this forum called something like "Non-English Card Traders" that would simply be a list of the traders on this forum who HAVE (must have available, not just interested in trading for) foreign language cards. Users who have foreign cards could post in that thread with a link to their trade thread and I would take it upon myself to format those and update the post.

If you think that is worth a shot, then I can create the thread and a mod can sticky it in place of this thread.

I know the mods here are very busy, so I'd like to give us all a hand and do this. I considered making an off-site list, but I feel that would be difficult to maintain and few people would be able to access it.
