Pokemon: 24
The strategy here is to use BREAKthrough Gallade as an alternate attacker in a Vespiquen style deck. The draw for using Gallade is its high amount of health, an attack that's both easy to use with a Double Colorless energy and highly damaging, doing 130 damage. Maxie's Hidden Ball Trick is, of course, used to get it out of the discard. Premonition is also a really cool ability, especially with this deck's tendency to draw a lot. The amount of Pokemon cards in this deck also contributes to Vespiquen's damage, of course.
I'm using Ariados here mainly as a way to weather down enemies with poison, but I'm sure there are much better options to use for this sort of deck.
My main problem is deciding on an Energy type, along with cards to support that type, as well as probably replacing Ariados here. I considered Strong Energy, but that type of energy is both easily hammerable and locked to Gallade only. I'm using Grass Energy now only because an emergency situation might lead to something that needs Grass Energy having to attack. Even then, it's a shaky choice since most of the deck's attacks outside of Sensitive Blade and Bee Revenge are too weak to do noticeable damage.
It's possible that I could use Flareon and Fire Energy in this deck for the standard Blacksmith combo, but it would only be able to power up Vespiquen. Grass/Fire and Fighting for attack types is not too shabby though, and I'm definitely considering it despite my reservations.
What do you guys think? Since this is a BREAKthrough time deck, stuff like Bridgette and other cards from the set are fair game.
