I thought Shaymin was based of a hedgehog. Then he becomes a sky forme. Now he's Super sonic.
We're talking about sky forme, kinda know that his land forme is a hedgehog.

I have no idea what its sky forme is. Deffinately looks like a dog.

Looks more like a fox. With those pointy nose, and small tip-toes. And that small body lol.

Well, look at Shaymin's pic while saying fox in your mind. You would think that he is.

It's an orca.

We don't really need to get all driven into specific types of animal do we? If someone says they want a beagle pokemon instead of dog pokemon I will cut them. I swear, I will.

In case you didn't know, an Orca and Killer Whale is the one and the same. And Kyogre is based off of the Leviathan. It only appears similar to a Killer Whale in the fact of its white spots.

I want a try water/ice or water/dark Killer Whale. Black and white coloring.

Besides asking for a certain type of animal instead of the broad generalization is okay. That's like saying stop asking for a peacock, a bird pokemon is just as good. No, not really. Individualism is what makes pokemon special.

I'm looking forward to all the Pokemon revealed on my birthaday except Gear, (June 11th), Tsutaaja, the Chromastone Rhino, Moguryu, Zoroark, and Zekrom

I'm not up to date on all of the whale terminology nowadays.

I always thought Kyogre as an Orca whale and that LAPRAS was a Leviathan? I mean, I know it's based off the Loch Ness (its beta name was even Ness), but it looks like a Leviathan to me.

...I've been playing Metroid Prime 3, I almost think we should have something that looks like a leviathan, as well. :D

I'd like to see a polar bear pokemon, or a lion pokemon (Luxray was kinda one but really missed the mark i think)

I'd also like to see a ghost/steel type, or more electric dual types.

As much as i think that was a joke, i think your right.

I mean we really do need more alien (or at least alien-like) pokemon besides Deoxys... Pokemon nowadays are based solely on boring animals. They're called Pocket MONSTERS, not animals! >.<

It was a joke. But in all honesty, if they make a pokemon that looks like a leviathan, I may actually scream like a fangirl.

But I doubt it'll happen, even if space pokemon are cool.

Ha yes, they are indeed the same. In fact it really is a dolphin. Animal names are misleading! It is my favorite animal so it only makes since I know. lol

But yes Kyogre is based off the Leviathan, Groudon is based off of the Behemoth of Hebrew legends, and Rayquaza is based off of the Ziz; a giant griffin in the Jewish culture that is said to be big enough to block the sun with its wingspan.

But Lapras is indeed based off of the Plesiosaur, which many believe to be the what the Loch ness monster is if indeed real. (I think it is).

No Kangakid? There has to be one eventually. You can't go around with a tiny Kangaroo in your pouch and claim it as nonexistent.

Just give it one or two worthwhile moves Kangaskhan could not learn before, and to top it off, a split evolution into a normal/fighting male Kangaroo.

^^^^^

Raikou is a tiger.

Orca is Kyogre.

And another poster said Koala, and unfortunately Spinda is a koala. =(

See! I knew it was an Orca! ...but Spinda is a panda. That's where the 'da suffix comes from. It's not Spinoala.
