I've heard Global Warming can be temperatures in both extremes (extreme hot and extreme cold), so something like this is out of the ordinary really. If you deny Global Warming, you're obviously not seeing the real facts and proof that have been around for years.
dmaster out.
Warming = warmer temperatures
Cooler temperatures as well as warmer temperature would simply imply a shift in heat, not an increase.
What facts? Maybe the fact that "scientists" have been using only three data points, two of which get it from the remaining one? Or things like Climategate, where they used horribly mangled models and doctored the results?
Or maybe that cows produce more CO2 than humans, even if you include our machinery? Or that, even if it's happening, the sea level would rise a grand total of about 3 cm in a century. Or that we (at least the USA) has been reducing the amount of emissions it's producing, greatly because it's wasteful, anyway, so that means that if you want to slow or halt the melting of the oh, so great melting bane of life (read: ice) that you should probably attack from that front, since your method involves killing the economy, which is bad enough right now, even here, let alone places like Africa. Perhaps you should think of the economy, first.
But hey, if you want to make a difference, your way, perhaps you should stop using cars, computers, etc.. Don't eat vegetables or meat from the supermarket, because they increase the amount that farmers will make, therefore causing more CO2 to be produced. (Hey, plants have to respirate, too, you know.) Go out into the wild and wear no clothes, because they're bad for the environment. Live like a Stone Age man, hunting every day with a spear, not knowing if you're likely to be the victor. Or maybe you should suffocate yourself, so you emit fewer greenhouse gas, and such. (Not saying you should, just saying what your argument requests)
But hey, this is all part of that old decadely (um decade's fake adjective form?) scare. As I recall, in the 1960's, we were going to die from overpopulation. 1970's was commies (although, that was real, for once) 1980's, was global cooling. 1990's was pollution killing us by 2010. (Funny, I don't think I'm dead...) 2000's global warming. 2010's will probably be climate change, as that's what seems to be leading right now. (no, I am not from the 60's but my parents are)
Then again, that's history right? And history
never repeats itself, right? Hey, no one has ever wanted a utopia aside from modern USA, right? And communism has never once, tried to destroy the non-commies with ugly means, such as Political Correctness or the Great War, right? WWI and the Peloponnesian War? What are you talking about? I'd give more examples, but I don't want to get far off topic, here.
What's my point? All of this is a scam so that politicians can advocate something to reduce the blow of global warming, and it may or may not work but either way, it helps people feel good about themselves, for possibly doing something about something that probably doesn't even exist. Only one time has it been real, and it does go back further than the 60's. Trying to stop each of these things hurts the economy. Unless you have better reasoning than "look at the facts" (Which I'm sick and tired of hearing. Unless you can actually show facts and no one has refuted them, unless you gave a counter-argument, I do believe that you are in fact using the same tactics as the communist party: overwhelm without reason) and never show them, don't believe it. If you've got time, wait until it should be apparent. Otherwise, we will reduce ourselves to the Stone Age because of the stupidity of a bunch of people. And people have hurt their economy before. The Renaissance used slaves instead of steam, for example. And unless people can resist it, we will keep cycling, until we are forced to die, because we will be at the mercy of nature, with no opposite pull, since the effective leaders of society will be encouraging this idiocy. The very method that we speak to each other has taken millions of years to develop. I don't want those years to go to waste. To be covered by the dust of time. It's O.K. if you believe in Global Warming. But since you can't prove it, don't impose it on others. Don't destroy society, all because you
think that it will wipe us out. Unless you can actually show undeniable proof, wait for counter-arguments, etc., don't predict doomsday.
Wow. It's been a long time since I got into an argument about this stuff. I guess I went a little overboard.
