Good luck to everyone -- I know we have tremendous talent on these forums, so we're all eagerly awaiting what you can do!
 
Count me in! Are we allowed to save .pdn files (Paint.NET?) I find PDN the easiest to work with of the free software.

I mean can we use Pokemon characters as substitutes for Pokemon themselfs. Sorry for not being clear.

I don't see why not, because Misty is in our current forum banner. I would suggest including a Pokemon or two along with the human character though.
 
1. Use the PokéBeach logo that does not have the subtext.

2. Create your own subtext beneath the logo.

I am kinda a n00b at this but I would like to join! Count me in! Also what application is everyone going to be using? That's free? I only know one.
 
The best free program is usually agreed to be GIMP, which is what I will be using. It's practically a free Photoshop.
But if you have never done anything like this before, it could be difficult to learn how to use it. But I suppose you always have to start sometime.
 
Haha. With all these pros around, it'll be hard to do. But I think I'll take originality over quality.
Guys, can I once again bring up the question - are we allowed PDN files if we email them to CMP?
 
Apparently you aren't supposed to have your own logo... I must have misunderstood that part of the rules. So disregard my protip. ;_;

5. Feel free to use stock images (such as Ken Sugimori or game artwork), but realize original artwork will be most likely to win.
