Harry Potter is epic, and you should make a poll to go with this thread. ( P.S. I thought Pottermore wasn't that cool, but still fun, and a good book companion )

Poll: Witch ( pun intended ) one is better? Books or movies?

That is not even worth discussing. I only know of one movie ever made that was better than the book.

Well then how about:

Best Book/Movie! Not your favorite book/movie, but the one that you thought was the most well written, or had the best parts/scenes?
( I was going to say favorite character, but then I remembered about the Happy Area, and made a thread there. )

Completely agreeing that it is not worth discussing but I am curious to what movie you think was better then its book counterpart.

RE: Harry Potter official discussion thread

Philosopher's Stone, Chamber of Secrets, and Deathly Hallows all had fantastic movie adaptations, but I don't know which of those - if any - I would call better than the book.

my favorite book, like many people, is Prisoner of Azkaban.

I am not saying my wife likes Harry Potter, but she has all hardcovers, softcovers, movies, and audio books. I keep telling her, that took money from Pokémon.

Discussing about harry potter. Guy's He is always mine favorite. I have seen all movies of this series. And all the movies looks me really nice to watch. Specially the last movie of the series in which the real fight between the harry and the evil Lord Voldemort.

I was never a big fan of the books, or the movies, but I am a big fan of Brad Neely so I am a HUGE fan of Wizard People: Dear Readers.
If you don't know about it, he re-did the audio for the entire first movie, and it is brilliant.
✌☹✌

My favorite book has and always will be Goblet Of Fire. I love the twists at the end, I love Moody, and I love those horrible mermaids in the second quest. The Deathly Hallows was also an amazing piece of work.
As far as movies go, my favorite would have to be The Half Blood Prince. This more than likely has to do with the experience accompanying it, because I was waiting in line for 7 hours, recreationally ofcourse, and I bought a big bag of blood flavored suckers, the local news showed up and interviewed people, and I saw Emmy and Neil Cicierega with the puppet pals. It was really cool. I also enjoyed the first half of The Deathly Hallows movie, mostly because of the animated short about the Hallows.
This may or may not be known to you guys but I used to be in love with Evanna Lynch, the actor for Luna. It was crazy, I tried to send her a letter once but I couldn't find her address :,(

RE: Harry Potter official discussion thread

Oh also I have a huge crush on Neville. I think he's just such a sweet genuine guy.
✌☹✌

RE: Harry Potter official discussion thread

Nearly finished Prisoner of Askaban a second time, Goblet of Fire next :3

RE: Harry Potter official discussion thread

^ is this guy a spambot

anyway, Got goblet of fire from the library today (again)

RE: Harry Potter official discussion thread

Books almost always win in my opinion, although HP7 Part 2 was AMAZING.

RE: Harry Potter official discussion thread

I loved Book 2, 3, 5, 7 and 8! My favorite would be the third one.

I always thought that Hermione was the best character, she was brilliant and proving that muggle born wizards are just as good as "pure-bloods", I think that the books were better because of all the detail in them unlike the movies, but don't get me wrong the movies were amazing and I give the actor who played Bellatrix I give an applause to she did a great job playing that character :3

I liked Book 2 the best. Something about it... caught my interest. Probably that plot twist I never saw it coming. I tried reading the seventh, but I gave up. That was 2 years ago, going to finish it.
