Help me guys,,,Booster picking tips

6 packs? Boy, you're rich... I can't afford that much at a time... And even if I did, my parents scolde (wrong spelling)me...
 
I don't know guys...you dis Walmart and Target like the dickens, but I have always gotten decency from them. I get a Pokemon EX roughly every other seven booster packs or so. Including I boutght one and it had Kyogre Star from Delta Species. Such a yummy-licious card. And yes, it was form Wal-mart.

1 Meganium EX UF I bought the booster for a friend, who also boughts me boosters time from time.
1 Zapdos EX RFGL- Traded

1 Dustox EX LM --- From prerrelease. Current Deck.
1 Banette EX LM -- Sold
1 Walrein EX LM --- Traded for a Dustox EX
1 Dustox EX LM ---- Booster pack. Current Deck
2 Raikou EX DX ---- Got them for a trade.
1 Blaziken EX CG --- Traded
1 Delcatty EX CG -- Sold
1 Altaria EX DF ---- Got it from a trade
1 Rayquaza EX DF - Gift from a friend
1 Altaria EX DF ---- Booster. Current Deck
1 Kingdra EX DF --- Booster. Gave it to a friend
1 Latias EX DF----- Booster, in sale.

Is just matter of luck to get the EXes, and you have to buy a lot of packs. in some pack there are 3 EX, but In Delta Species and Holon Phantoms only comes 1 EX in every Box.
 
It is all luck. It doesn't matter how the packs are packaged or where you buy them; there are no buying skills required. I bought 5 DF packs and got 2 exs. I bought 20 LM packs and I got 2 exs. All from Wal-Mart.
 
I like to go for the middle. I think thats were all the ex's/*'s hide.

But the best thing to do is buy a box of the newest set and just trade
 
I've gotten lucky recently.... I've got 3 tricks...
1.) Grab 3-4 packs, then shuffle them around w/o looking. Then pick 1, and get that pack. I got a Groudon ex HL and a Jirachi(Magma/Aqua) secret rare this way.
2.) Pick your LEAST FAVORITE PACK cover, and buy it. CHOOSE FROM THE MIDDLE!!
3.) Buy 2 packs. One for u, one for a friend. OPEN THE ONE THAT WAS INTENDED FOR YOUR FRIEND!! I didn't do this and a friend got a Latias ex and a Heracross rev. holo.
 
The thing is that not all shops will have a booster box for you to just take packs out of. Some have said that the ex cards are close to bottom of box or in the middle and I have experienced this. But if somebody has already taken some packs out then they would not be in the middle anymore would they?
I have come up with another suggestion- go for a set that has more Ex cards in it. You are probably less likely to get an ex card in a holon phantoms booster than you are in another set like unseen forces or dragon frontiers. Most HP boxes only have one Ex in.
 
always buy a box, its a better deal. btw, if u read in the UK read this, as u might not know this but:
DO NOT BUY ANY TINS, BOOSTERS OR BOOSTER BOXES AT ASDA!!! ASDA BELONGS TO WAL-MART!
If u don't have money for booster boxes, buy at least 3-4 packs at a time, and if the shop owners are clever enough to put the boosters behind the counter so nobody steals `em, just ask if they can get out the ones at the very bottom. That's what I always do when i buy at Bosswells. btw, do u know any other shops in Oxford that sell cards? i know that there are cards at Woolworths and Toys 'r' Us? I don't like buyin' there - Poke' cards at WW r really rare, and at TrU sells them for 20p more(i wanna save money).

BTW, I like to but the value pack things with the 3 packs OP promo card, and coin. I got swampert ex CG in 1... pretty good
 
in my value pack, basically all that was good that i got was a rev/holo ariados

Hmm, bought a UF box, and i only got 2 ex's. 1 Scizor ex, and 1 Celebi ex.
 
Yeah Mewthree, I know asda is owned by walmart. I just happen to live near oxford so I can help you. There is a shop called boswells near the end of cornmarket street. It is towards the end that has burger king and stuff on. They do not sell single cards or boxes but they have the boosters for some of the more recent sets and they sometimes have the value packs behind the counter. I did not see any tins last time but they might have them as well. Hope this helps
 
they do, they're just next to the yugioh cards. u can find Kyogre ex, Groudon ex or Ray ex in it. btw, do u know about any upcoming Cities or Regionals near Oxford?
 
I don't have a clue. Sorry. I never hear about them now. There was a thread somewhere on here which had details but I cannot remember which thread. I dont think there are any in the area.
 
are you guys serious about that that whole thing about not buying from walmart or target?
i just dont get it ,everyone keeps on saying not to buy there because there like cursed or something and you'll never get a good card there. i have no good card shops in my area so im forced to buy boosters from target or walmart. i dont get why they say they are unlucky when i have gotten all of my pokemon ex from boosters from target or walmart. just this last month since df went on sale i have been going to target and buying boosters, and out of 14 boosters i have bought in total from this set i have pulled 5 pokemon ex and 4 rare holos! the only thing i could say is that i think its all related with luck and destiney. just keep on trying with those boosters and eventually you'll get lucky and start getting good cards. but then if you still continue being unlucky just go buy your cards from ebay or someone on this site or else you'll just be wasting your money. if you think about all the money you already wasted on boosters trying to get a good card and add it all up , you will probably find out you already would have had enough money to go online and buy more than one ex already.

its all about strategy , if the company just gave you what you wanted right away , then you probably wouldnt be trowing your money at them all of the time !
