Help me guys,,,Booster picking tips

Well i believe that buying in the right place and at the right time gives you good cards.
I just bought 2 DS boosters a while ago and I got a Jolteon ex.When I also bought a CG pack (my mother bought me one) i got a Swampert ex.
 
Swampert Ex is the first Ex for many people I realized. That includes me. :) Anway, ALL booster packs, have holo/foil's in them so there isn't much to say. BUT boosters can have 2 foils in them so you can look for the booster with lots of air and is dented. Or simply, it feels thick.

That's what I always look for, but sometimes it doesn't work. Although it did get me a metagross d in those 3pack+coin+promo card special things:cool:
 
Wow, we are REALLY alike. My first booster of Ex Delta was my second booster. It had Kyogre* in it. The next one was Metagross d.:p

NO! I've got a Holon Energy as the rare one 3 TIMES, and it wasn't foil or everything els good...
I bought 8, and in 2 packs, I've got an holon Energy, as the only rare, though, i got Char* in the last pack...
 
I know all boosters have a foil card. But did I really want a holofoil numel, geodude or magnemite? No, not really. Most of my holofoils are trainer cards recently. Although I did get a flygon ex (LM) and a shiftry ex (CG) recently.
I really do not believe this whole thickness test thing. I have tried it a few times now and have found I get ex cards in the thin packs. I have noticed that ex cards seem to be flatter than normal holos. I am not saying this works, but going by this the packs in which the cards seem to be bending slightly probably do not have ex cards in them.

The first ex i got was swampert ex from CG and that was also the first booster pack i bought in my whole life.
 
The truth is that all of this is (and always will be) about luck. Even with the boxes you do not know if you will get the ex cards that you want. I would recommend keeping some kind of list so you know how many boosters you have bought. After you have bought a certain number of packs from a set then you really should consider singles.

In the last couple of weeks, I bought 11 Boosters. No exes.
At the states, I got a quater of a box. No ex.
At the Nationals, I got half a box. And *Shock* no ex!
 
my friend bought me 2 boosters and got 1 mew ex on one booster and a mewtwo on the other.....combo and you should buy 4 cards at a time buy it from the middle or at the bottom or you can but single cards
 
6 boosters? That is hardly anything! To get an ex in every 6 packs you buy would be very lucky. If you are buying hardly any boosters then it is understandable not getting an ex, so yes I think you should stop complaining too.
Say a box had 3 ex cards in it- that would mean you have a 3/36 chance of getting one in your booster. If that box had a star card in it the chances are lower. Somebody mentioned only buying a quarter of a box but seeing as there is usually about 3 ex cards in a box that is not surprising.
 
Luck is luck. It's not hard to come across luck because it's luck,and luck can happen anytime, so you don't know when you come across luck. I came across luck a lot of times so its not hard to get.One time, I bought a booster pack and got something really good that I forgot and that was luck, so luck isn't hard to get, and btw, 6 boosters don't guarentee you an ex. my opinion, you should get a tin. ALWAYS guarenteed an ex.
