How do you define beauty?

While I believe that there are some things that can be called beautiful by anyone, the very idea of beauty is something completely unique to each person. I might consider my gf the most beautiful person on the planet. When it really comes down to it, beauty is subjective.

Exactly, it's subjective. There is no right answer, as to what defines beauty. Everyone will have their own opinion, everyone knows what they feel is beautifull personally. Some people may think skinny is beautiful others may not. You can say someone has a beautiful personality, but someone else may hate them.

-_-
If you want to talk about what particular aspects of beauty you find the most potent, go ahead. But don't say that beauty, as a whole, down to the most fundamental level is subjective. Because that would imply human nature is fundamentally different.

How would it do that? Saying that is very poisonous. That is like saying we are all alike; there is no individuality. I'll have you know that there is truth in the phrase 'Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.'
What is beautiful to me may not be necessarily beautiful to you. Thus, it is subjective.

That's exactly what I've been discussing with all of my previous posts. Read them if you care enough, because I've already responded to that in them.

Beauty can be anything you interpret it as(s).

But a good body doesn't hurt.

Outer beauty... I highly prefer black women for some reason, despite the fact I'm the whitest guy ever! Their outer beauty is rivaled by none. I'm not particularly attracted to mixed race, white, Asian, India,, Arab, or Hispanic, etc. women anyways.

EDIT: To be safe, they have to be between eighteen and thirty years old, and no bigger than I am (I'm kinda heavy, but I'm that picky!)

Inner beauty... I don't know how to describe it.

You argue that it isn't subjective, but it is. Human ideology, is to find the most suitable mate. Everyone is different, we may have been all the same at one point but we aren't anymore. Every single person, is unique . How can you argue, and play down everyones opinion on beauty, when you yourself are 15 and single ?. You haven't obviously found beauty yet.

How can you say I haven't found beauty if beauty is subjective?
And how can you narrow beauty down to only existing in a partner? Is art, nature, ect. not beautiful to you?
I've admitted that the definitions we give beauty and our preferences toward it are subjective, but at the fundamental level we experience similar feelings. We would have to, because we all have human nature and human psychology. You can't really deny that.

Yes, beautiful can mean more than an individual or person, but you may see a form of art beautiful, when I don't. Beauty is subjective, to the person and the object or person we are subjecting it to.

Kidding of course. Beauty describes what matches what is right to you.

You can only taste and smell beauty, like a really good Milkshake, or a Roast Chicken.

I'm not sticking up for Polaris here, but to use someone's age and relationship status in this topic is not making yourself look any better. I was 15 and single, and if you couldn't tell, I've an idea about beauty.
However, all of this is moot because you are arguing that everyone is fundamentally the same. Which means that my idea isn't any different from yours, which I can tell you right now, it actually is different from yours.
Now, I would've said more, but Polaris basically beat me to it.
Also, lol Jay's and omahanime's responses.

I can give an example of something I find beautiful (this is aside from all the arguments/comments here):

That's beautiful. Being young has nothing to do with recognition of the fundamentals of beauty.

Anyone who judges people solely on outer appearance is scum. To not give a person respect for their true beauty is the worse crime to a person's moral.

Most of the time I only consider someone beautiful in terms of outer appearance when they are unobtainable to me. I don't really know why, but I think that's why we glamor over celebrities and models. They're unobtainable objects for us to fantasize about. We can ignore their personalities because we are in no way a part of it.

When I know the person, I really don't care what they look like. I find their personality to be the defining point of their beauty. I've been told before that some of the women I have been with / had a crush on have been "a solid 5 or 6". To be honest, I don't care what people say when they have a great personality and heart.

But hey, a nice body never hurts right?
