They are played up to near mint, those cards are not for collectors they are more for players =)

Advice for selling sealed boxes of old editions

Hi everybody,
I got a few sealed boxes of old editions after a shop closed.
I would like some advice about where (online) and how much I could sell them?
Please find below a description:
- 3 sealed boxes of 36 boosters, 1st edition
- 4 sealed boxes of 36 boosters, fossil edition
All these cards are in French.
Thank you very much for your help. I can provide more information if you ask.

Because they are French, I think eBay is your only choice. A few questions to help others with the pricing.

- 3 sealed boxes of 36 boosters, 1st edition - Is this base set?
- 4 sealed boxes of 36 boosters, fossil edition - 1st or unlimited edition?

All 1st edition Base set boxes are shadowless. The shadowless cards are initial printing of unlimited.

Thank you for your answer. I am trying to answer the best I can:
- I think it is base set, I found a picture of the box online: http://thumbs1.ebaystatic.com/m/mKu3pU5OUJbduzyGT2wv5xw/140.jpg
- I don't think it is 1st edition because it is not written on the top of the box. I found this picture online: http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NzY4WDEwMjQ=/$T2eC16d,!zcE9s4g3iF0BQ9GyG8lQQ~~60_35.JPG

I think I made a mistake, fossil cards are not in french but in english. How can I be sure about it without opening the box?

Thank you for your help!

You can tell if the cards are French or not based on the packaging of the box, which should be written in the French language. I couldn't find a photo of the French box to show you, but I did find an Italian box photo that you can use for comparison. "Pokémon" is of course the same, but other words are written in Italian instead of English, and yours would be in French if it's a French language box, just like how your Base Set box has French text. If your box is all English text on the outside, than it's an English language box.

Thank you very much!
So Fossil boxes are in English (but it is the unlimited edition) and 1st edition (limited) are in French.

Unlimited Fossil Booster Boxes have seen a good amount of sales on Ebay recently; final going price seems to be between $200-$300.

The French 1st Edition Base Set is a bit harder to price because the foreign language editions of old booster boxes tend to not be sold as frequently. That one I can't really help you with (aside from maybe looking at the prices for 1st Edition boxes in other languages and comparing), but maybe someone else here can offer suggestions.

Man Fossil cards are that high now? I have not seen those sets in ages. I still have most of that set in my binders too. I wonder how much that would fetch. Too many for me to count though. I can't even buy those sets where I live only the newer sets I can get.:)

White Star? Do you have an image of the Chansey card? Never seen this one before. The only thing I have heard of is they Jungle symbol missing on those cards. Sounds like it may be a stamped star to make it look real. Might be a possible fake. Not saying it is fake but it could be. A lot of people are now stamping fake stamps and trying to pass them as legal cards. Just like they cheat in the VG they are now moving to the TCG to spoil a kids fun time and think the card is real. We must find a way to shut down these scammers.:)
