I have an idea!

Settle down, settle down; I am Judge Trudy.

Maybe there can be a CAC for that particular Pokemon for all those fakers out there. Again, just an idea. You don't have to like it.
A month full of nothing but Darkrai cards? That'd be boring! Too much overlap and not enough variety. I know you mean well, but I don't think it needs to get too more specific than type.

However, I am looking for ideas on what to do next year for CAC (if all goes well I'd like to keep doing it even in 2014), so if you have any others, I'd love to hear them.

I think that creating Trainer/Supporter/Stadium cards would be fun(Assuming you aren't already doing it this year.) Also we could maybe use wording/card styles from a specific format. Like we could have a DPP month or something else along those lines

Well, look at Bo$$'s post. It seemed rude to me, and could have been worded a bit nicer, but whatever you say.

Anyway, let's just follow SR's post and do things in a civilized manner. It's much better that way then calling people out, flaming, and being jerks.

I do think a trainer/supporter/stadium contest would be awesome!

Giratina has to be on the 13th of a month... or June 6, maybe.

To all people who continue to post posts like this...

Why not suggest some things we could do on these days or weeks?

...did you cheat and look at my notepad?

Yes.

I also had an idea that we could do Ace Specs as well. Sorry that I keep looking at your notepad

  • January - Ice-type only battles in the VG section
  • February - Valentines that can be sent anonymously throughout the beginning of the month; on Valentines Day, members can "open" their Valentines to see who sent them
  • May - May will replace Misty on the banner
  • June - shut down the forums for a month to force everyone to go outside
  • September - shut down the forums for a month to force everyone to focus on school
  • October - Halloween events, such as candy giving (similar to Valentines event, except we know right at the beginning), Ghost-type only battles in VG
  • December - another gift giving event, with presents (can't open them until Christmas)
  • The week of Hanukkah can be dedicated to the Litwick family, being they are candles/lamps
  • Each season will start by celebrating Deerling and Sawsbuck, as someone mentioned before
  • Pre-determined Opposite Day - you can figure out how this will work
  • Super Ultimate Trivia Spectacular - a week of Pokemon trivia, winner gets a prize (maybe a badge); held once a month/once every few months/once a year

I'll think of more, hang in there.

Those are actually pretty good ideas. However, the trivia seems to have gotten alot of hate. No trivias unless they are pretty difficult
For example: Which can happen if smeargle is not in play?
a)Infernape getting burned
b)Steelix getting poisoned
c)Articuno getting frozen

B can happen in Generation II because of Twineedle.

Otherwise, the answer is C.

I'd like to point out that all 3 are possible due to Soak. But all in all, that was a very poorly constructed question.

It was. It was just an example with no thought put into it :p

Also on Sheninja's question the first person who posts the correct answer would win.

So what if someone wasn't online when it was posted? How is that fair?

There would be more than one question per day. One per hour. Trivia goes through the entire week so everyone has a chance to play. Different prizes given for different achievements.

-Most Questions Answered Total
-Most Questions Answered in a Day
-Most Questions Answered in a Row
-etc.

Maybe, it shouldnt be the same each year. Otherwise peoples favorites are left out and they feel...well....left out

Carrying on from the Pokedex idea, we can make a large Google Docs page, with all Pokemon listed. Everyone can access the page and can edit an entry as they wish.

Pokedex entries should be unique, not some copypasta of actual Pokedex entries. Entries should be clever, dark, happy, serious, etc. As unrealistic and amazing as possible.

Once it's done, we can upload it to the site for all to see. Those who could contribute original pictures would be encouraged to do so.

Perhaps instead of being accessible to anyone, only a few members/mods will be able to edit the actual pages themselves, but the entries can be written and submitted by anybody who wishes to participate.

Glad to see that some people like my idea, even though it isn't very original.

Sure. Plus, the same each year would get boring.

Also I'm loving what you are coming up with, the custom pokedex sounds awesome

This Pokedex idea just seems like a Create a Card type of contest that's been taken too far. If we are going to do something like creating Pokedex entries, it needs to be in a contest structure that's more open. That way you can have more creativity. It's not a bad idea, just a bad structure. If its like CaC and is once a month, then I'll probably sign up. However, if its on Google Docs or something, I won't really won't to participate as much.
