Where are all the trade threads going to go? Is it possible to move the active threads into 5th generation then create a sub forum for all the active threads? Also create a set of rules for that sub forum? All you need to do is move the active threads make a set of rules and delete or hide the inactive threads. Why not do it this way? It makes more sense.:)

It has been stated before that the point is to delete clutter, not put it in a different spot.

The "out of sight out of mind" policy doesn't work in the long term.

We need to focus on other, more important things, like TCG and VG. Some of the games took away from that, and they added nothing good to PokeBeach by just being there. I'm sorry that only a couple of the bad games are going, but we'll still probably have RPG's.

I'm genuinely curious; I thought the very first post in this thread said that the game corner would be eliminated. Where would we even PUT RPs?
As it's been said in this thread, the point is to "delete clutter, not put it in a different spot". Yet that's exactly what you're saying is going to happen to the RPs; get put into a different spot.

Some RPG's will stay, only a few, I'm sure. And only good ones will be allowed in the future. It's up for the mods to decide, honestly.
And I liek how MM is the definition of an RPG, HL. Derp. And everyone here joined for something Pokemon-related. This is a Pokemon forum, not Facebook. These changes are going to be made, and the mods know some people won't like it at first. So deal, guys.

Okay, but you didn't answer where they would go if the game corner is going to be deleted.

Why would you join a forum about Pokemon if you don't want to talk about Pokemon...?

I do want to talk about Pokemon. I'm active in the VG section and I occasionally do TCG.

But the main reason I come here instead of the countless other Pokemon forums is the community. And at least for me, most of getting to know the wonderful people was through Games and Groups.

You don't seem to understand that I_don't_know. I'm not a mod. It's their decision on where things should go.

Then you should have included that statement in your post so that I didn't have to ask again to understand. It's not that hard to add one more sentence.

And this is why plenty of people are against the changes.

Even if we do get rid of those forums, we will not become "The Site for VG" or "The Site for TCG"

Those belong to other sites respecively and we won't be taking it anytime soon.

We can either keep the community that we have, or we can attempt to take those titles, which obviously wont happen.

Why would anyone come here over say Smogon? Because of the people here and the community

Why would anyone come here over PokeGym? Because of the community. I'd be the first to say I came here instead of Pokegym for that reason.

You're all overlooking the fact that by taking all of these forums away, we lose the title we already have "The Site for a Friendly Pokemon Community".

Honestly, by doing this, we're just wannabe's in my opinion. We want to be the site that's good for VG, or TCG, or both for that matter. Thinking realistically, that won't happen.

Seriously guys, think about this rationally.

I felt that this statement made it simple enough, but I'll make my posts much easier to understand in the future.
And if we're keeping werewolf, why aren't we keeping MM. It's a more creative version of it.

Best post in this thread.

Community is important.

You deserve a Nobel Peace Prize.

For being someone so invested in the community you have a rather negative outlook on what this website can and cannot achieve. The reason we're not competing with websites such as PokeGym and http://google.com/ is because our members aren't dedicated enough to compete with them. We don't draw in competitive players because they see PokeBeach as an overall casual website, which has only two purposes, and they are inane forum games and staff drama.

We're not trying to become the "Site for TCG". We're trying to improve our image.

And what image are we trying to achieve? Professional? Professional doesn't get good players or a good community.

At all.

Yes I am deeply rooted in this community. Yes I enjoy it. Yes I believe we are killing it by doing this. Not totally, but a very great deal.

...what? What does get good players then? Threads where members fake ban each other?

No, no it does not. But taking that away also doesn't get good players.

We have our member base. It's not going too change all too much. Our member base, is one that isn't extremely competitive, it is not one where we have people dominating the leaderboards on anything.

We have a member base who likes what we have. By taking it away, it's not going to make them better, it's not going to give us better playing members, and we're certainly not going to achieve anything too great from it.

Our goal in deleting forum games is not to attract competitive players. No one thinks that any decent player is going to join PokeBeach just because we don't have forum games anymore. Without forum games, existing members on the website who care about the future of the website can focus on other things, instead of refreshing the Count to 50 thread until they get a chance to post again.

Assuming these members who care about the future of the website exist, they shouldn't be in the Count To 50 thread in the first place. Your just putting Forum Games and more as a scapegoat. It's not that forum's fault that we don't have a competitive mindset. It's because of the people themselves. Assuming your one of these people who care about the future of the website, you don't post in the Count To 50 thread, meaning you focus on other things. If you can do it, why not everyone else. OH WAIT, maybe because the people who care about the future of the site aren't there either.

And I myself being one of these people who post in the "unintelligent and stupid" threads, they first off, are not a distraction, unless you actually post in the Games and More. And quite frankly, I care about the future of this website a lot, and taking away Forum Games is not in the best interest of the site itself and the member base.

/me presses Control+F

/me finds no mention of Murder staying (Except Zero saying it's a knock-off)

/me cries

:p

Oh well.

I guess this is it's final season.

I hope that these changes are for the best. As much as I would like to disagree with the mods, it isn't really my place to argue. It's their site, and if I want to play games, I'll go somewhere else. I just hope that they will consider keeping a lot of the games like YLYL, The Challenge That I was just kicked off and such.

The count to 50 thread was started by dmaster. Are you saying he doesn't care about the future of the website?

Moderators post in it constantly. Are you saying they don't care about the future of the website?

So do a lot of members who can be spending their time on other things.

If a member doesn't care about the future of the website, why spend time on the website?
