For Pre-Releases Sandslash will be very good. But afterwards not so much. The only real viable card is Oricorio. Maybe a 1 of in psychic decks as a counter for Vespiqueen.
Oricorio is good, A-Sandslash could work in a few decks, Mudsdale does 250 with a Choice Band and two Strong Energies so it could possibly find its way into some kind of a budget deck and Drampa is sensationally "bleh".
Not bad, I suppose. At least none of them are Bruxish-tier.
I have to say! I'm disappointed Pokemon!! I wanted Komala in the Prerelease!!
Also, since we're getting a Guardian's Rising pack in the Sharpedo/Camerupt box, does that mean we can get cards from the set a month before the release then?

I honestly don't understand this. There's a few promos of cards from the set with different artwork (Dhelmise, Komala, Golisopod), why not print those instead of making new ones?

last prereleases I did I got 2 bruxish, I REALLY hope I can get that Alolan-Sandslash or Oricorio for these prereleases. I'll be getting 3 prerelease kits so HOPEFULLY I can get at least 1 of those 2.
I think Oricorio is the pick of the bunch here; it can slip into any deck to improve certain matchups (Vespiquen in Standard, Night March & Flareon/Vespiquen in Expanded).
Sandslash-A's Ability isn't bad but the most similar card in recent memory, Slurpuff PHF, had a better Ability and was only played in a handful of decks.
Vileplume is going out of rotation (save for a reprint in the mean time) after the summer, that's why haha. Although they will be in format together for a little while. If anyone actually plays that I'll just walk away from the table
Sandslash could be quite useful once Octillery rotates, and could still be useful now for Lapras players (tend to get large hands at times with that, due to Lapras' first attack & the fact that your opponent can't/won't want to N every turn, so there's times where Octillery does nothing at all).
I love the Oricorio, though - very useful against a number of decks.
Sad I'll be missing out on these awesome Pre-release promo arts, though. :C
I recently "found" a Japanese Togedemaru promo, that might make it into the set instead of Politoed, which could be a promo a la Lurantis, so I think my updated set list will be
