BW/BW2 Isshus desert part?

Hey guys... right now i'm sketching up a fakemon after I thought about a pyramid... and then wondered... what will there be in the Isshu desert and what Pokemon? Meguroko and Desukan is my only guesses now... and because only new Pokemon will appear, which will there then be?

I can tell that the fakemon i'm doing now is a camel... I know we got Numel, but... its a new place and Numel was a fire type... what about a PYRAMID camel with pyramids on its back?

And.. in the desert I'm guessing there will be ruins... and a city with a Gym :3

I think there are a bunch of ruins hidden in the sandstorm that we just can't see on the map. I'm saying ruins cuz where else would you find a sarcophagus?
 
I hope their are pyramids. It could be like a cave is in pokemon, but like a maze too. It could have all sorts of traps that send you further towards the entrance of the pyramid. It could have an area like the battle pike too, except there wouldn't be trainers. Their would just be a wild pokemon.

But it sounds interesting how there could be a town in the middle of the desert. I don't want it to be like RSE's desert.

Wait, it was announced no returning Poke's?

Anyway, Yes, I hope for a town in the middle of the desert, but I want a rather large desert too.
 
definitely meguroku and desukan. also, perhaps the mole pokemon? but im glad that its only going to be new pokemon until after E4.
 
I'd love for there to be a whole Egyptian-based region, complete with a pyramid themed gym with a Pharaoh gym leader.

There could be a new dark type that's Anubis/jackal based and it would be great if Meguroko's evolutions ended up being evocative of Sobek (egyptian crocodile god)

A scarab based Pokemon would be awesome as well. Bug/ground would make the most sense but bug/dark or pure bug would also work.
 
Ruins fer sure.

Also, I predict Lucario will be found there after a Dream Smoke encounter.

Mummy, Locust, Scarab, Anubis, and a Sphinx possibly?

In the most recent Oha Suta Trailer they showed the Isshu Region Map:

The map has large yellow circles for main areas and side areas being represented as small green dots.

One of the paths to the green dot (assuming you have to go on a path to unlock it when dealing with side areas) is in the desert. This is probably an archaeology town with ruins.
 
Ohh! Nice idea with Sobek! Never heard of it actually! It could evolvle into a Egypt Crocodile god XD
 
@Tarazuma: A Pokemon based on Bast would be creative.


I'd have no idea who these Egyptian figures/legends were if I hadn't just read a certain book...

You'll still have to walk through the desert, you'll still get lot's of 'mons there :D

Also, isn't Lucario loosely based around Anubis? (Wild Riolu/lucario after Nat. Dex?!?)

A boxing jackal w/features resembling Anubis IIRC.
 
A Sobek pokemon would be awesome. But for the sphinx idea, isn't shinx based on a sphinx? I could be wrong, but the name kind of says its a sphinx. I also wouldn't know about this Egyptian stuff either but I read the same book as Hellion.

Edit: My bad. I thought shinx was based on a sphinx.

Shinx is based on a Lynx. I think so...

Pokemon based on Egyptian gods sounds really cool!
