I don't see why you couldn't work with Eron to help host some challenges/quests every once in a while.

I don't have a whole lot of time to commit, so I wouldn't want to be in charge of anything major or important, but I had kind of a fun idea for a character/kingdom that can appear every so often to offer a unique quest for something, such as allowing access to a rare Pokémon or something of the sort. If you want to decide what Pokémon/items/whatever I can give out (maybe once a month or so?) let me know, otherwise I'll try and think up some on my own, but I'll post up character/kingdom information tomorrow (since it's late for me! I'm heading to bed soon >.>).

You are free to choose your pokemon at any time. However, if any changes are made, you'll have to resend your team anyway.
Probably best if everyone waits until the next phase starts to choose a team.

Yup, in the OP.
All pokémon chosen must either be or evolve into the type of your kingdom in some way. The whole line is taken into consideration when deciding types (so Normal, Flying, and Fire all have access to Fletchling, ect.).

Lady Altina, Queen of the Dragon Kingdom
The Dragon Kingdom lies in the mists of the Western Sea, though no one knows where, simply marking the text "HC SVNT DRACONES" on an approximate area on their maps. The men who claim to have been there say it's an island with wonders and treasures of every kind imaginable, filled with fire-breathing beasts and beautiful women. Since these men are all drunken sailors who are known for their boasts and active imaginations, these tales are half-believed at best.
Their current ruler is the young Queen Altina who took claim to the throne after her parents were lost at sea. On the day of her coronation, she announced that she would be ending the isolationist policies of her forebears and opening the kingdom up for travelers during each full moon. She personally delivered the invitation scrolls herself to the various heads of state, flying on the back of a graceful Dragonair.
Altina is young, barely 18 years of age. She is short, but has a powerful presence and a well-toned body from spending her early years wrestling with and training the Dragon-type Pokémon that inhabit her homeland. Her ice blue hair is kept in a thick braid and her warm silver eyes turn as cold as steel if she feels her country or her Dragon friends are being threatened. She has two younger brothers.
Despite the recent break in their isolation, the Dragon Kingdom still stays strictly neutral in all conflicts, and therefore will refuse to take part in any battles. If the Dragon Kingdom is ever threatened, they can, and will, simply fade back into the ocean mists and avoid detection.

I have feeling Athena will pick Goomy just because she like it.
And you ruin celever's 'revenge to the dragon' plot.
Btw, since Thena will make some challenge/quest, may I suggest some too. Maybe for some rare items like fossil that they need to buy from me. I never plan to sell them easy though.

The Fire Kingdom is located in the Northern/Western part of the main land and is surrounded by thousands of active volcanoes. Only the people and Pokémon that were born and raised in this area are known to be able to withstand the heat. The Fire Kingdom has a small population, but their fiery hearts have made them one of the strongest nations despite their numbers. The people are strongly united by blood and friendship. Their young Lord Tyrad holds his title for his skills in battle. Outside of the warring and battle fields he is just a common citizen of the Fire Kingdom.
Lord Tyrad of the Fire Kingdom is known for his pride and confidence. The people of the Fire Kingdom love their leader despite the fact that his attitude can come across as cocky and arrogant. They know the caring guy that he is and that he would sacrifice everything for the people and Pokémon of his kingdom. He is great at analysing situations, people, and Pokémon as well as coming up with strategies, which makes many think he's the strongest battler in the world.
