Both Celever and TwistedTurtwig have had about the same amount of battles as I did (they just didn't win all of them). I really don't think you should be complaining about it, since you didn't even use your challenge to gain more ranks (and to give another player a rank).
That said, I'm more than happy to battle you in a match (unofficial if you don't want to risk me getting more ranks) with only the ranks I gained from my own challenges if you think you stand a better chance that way.

I'm just confused as to why everyone isn't using their challenges. It seems like a waste of possible ranks. In this case, the risk is worth the chance that you'll lose a piece of land, especially this early in the game.

It really is a waste and I hope everyone will pick up activity. It will make the game a lot more fun and challenging if everyone is trying to gain ranks and get stronger. You're basically waiting for those that aren't standing still in the game to take your Pokémon if you're not actively challenging or trying to get people to challenge you in order to evolve your Pokémon and to obtain new Pokémon.
