Playing in multiple 3 v 5's doesn't help. Oh well... There is no point in stopping ranked for a while now.

Finished my placements, only won 3 so I'm in bronze 2, but thats ok with me. I'm going to start focusing on one or two champs per role so hopefully I can improve.

How come I win 6 I get bronze 2.
And then in my second placements I win 8 for bronze 2 again.

I hate you riot.

I like playing URF, I try new champs almost each day.

Somedays ago I liked to use Master Yi, because it was OP, but then, I thought:

"What about Cho'Gath?"

I tried it, and it's better than Yi.

EDIT: I just went online....

Very disappointed. No more URF.
Actually, I was told:

-"We have until Sunday right?"
-No, perhaps they will give us more time.

I think it matters mostly on your normals MMR, and only partly on your placements.

I'm going to go smack an irishman now.

It actually also matters on where you were in the last season, and what level of opponents you played against in the placement matches. My bro and I won the exact same matches, but he placed Silver V when I placed Bronze I.

I don't think that normals mmr has anything to do with it, considering they would have to make a distinction between draft and blind, or combine them (for mmr purposes). I regularly play with higher tier silver players in blind pick, but I play mostly with high tier bronze and low tier silver in draft pick. So I'm pretty sure it doesn't mean much.

I play with gold/ plat because all my irl friends are above 1700 elo...
So its not like I lack the experience/skill, I just got unlucky.

What. How do you get "unlucky" in League..? Both teams have close to the same MMR, so unless you don't have the knowledge to roam/gank at appropriate times, please don't even use the word "luck" with League again.

At the same time, though, while teams may have similar MMRs, they may not have similar mindsets. You could get stuck with people with a mindset that matches "Kills > Towers", or do nothing but push lane, while the other team will have people who work cohesively despite being randoms. There is a bit of luck in who you get paired up with, but I see your point, there's really no "luck" in League.

It because he doesn't play enough ranked to carry himself out, less then like twenty games.

There is actually a good amount of luck in league. You know when someone survives a 1v1 with like 10 hp? That ain't skill, that's straight luck. Luck also factors into your team, most of the time you can carry or win by just going even, but some games are just losses from the start.

No, surviving with 10 HP isn't luck, it's math. Unlike games like Warcraft III, every attack and spell in LoL has fixed damage. Factoring armor and MR, every time you attack or cast a spell against the same target you'll do the same damage with a deviation of 1-2 HP. It's not like Warcraft, where a basic attack has a minimum and a maximum and you can complain about luck by saying that most attacks are close to the minimum.

^Technically there is critical strike chance, but even that has a fixed algorithm which makes one's damage output fairly consistent in an extended fight.

I mean unlucky as not getting a decent teamcomp, or that one ADC who has 27 cs by 20 minutes, or the guy who steals your jungle and misses smite at baron. Some teams are just bad, and you can't really blame them.

Exactly, every ranked game is so agitating and stressful.
I'd rather play norms where I have fun instead of ranked where I want to strangle my ADC.
