Like @Materious17 I want to do a thread about a Set, but in this case "Legendary Holo Collection":

#1 Chespin (Appears in Dedenne card)
#2 Reshiram (If Chespin appears and Braixen has all the evolutions in the Set, it has to be #2)
#3 Fennekin ???
#4 Braixen
#5 Palkia
#6 Froakie ???
#7 Frogadier ???
#8 Pikachu EX
#9 Zekrom
#10 Dedenne

#12 Hoopa EX
#13 Pancham (13-14) (Appears in Dedenne Card)

10 Holo Confirmed (Reshiram, Zekrom, Palkia, Dialga, Latias, Latios, Black & White Kyurem, Regigigas and Arceus). No Lugia. No Ho-Oh. No Kyurem.

3 Uncommon (Braixen, Braviary and may be Frogadier)

12 Common (Hawlucha, Dedenne, Fennekin, Chespin, Froakie, Rufflet, Noibat, Pancham and 4 more). May be Goomy is one of the 4.

2 EX (Hoopa EX and Pikachu EX)

Bold/Italic: Confirmed but not numbered cards.

First post updated: Ho-oh and Lugia aren't in the set. May be a Pikachu EX.

If there are allright, we only have to know the last 4 common cards and the secret rares.

A interaction artwork between Regigigas, Arceus and White Kyurem. And between Reshiram, Zekrom and ???.

Well ordinarily I'd say Black Kyurem would be the third party. But it might be weird with Reshiram and Zekrom.

I do have to wonder if Froakie, Pancham, Rufflet, Braviary, Noibat and Noivern are in this set. On one hand just because they are on another cards image doesn't mean they have to be in this set on their own. On the other hand the images in other cards could be a good indicator, and at least in Froakie and Pancham cases the fact they are owned by Ash and Serena respectively would also support this but with that logic shouldn't a Frogadier be in this set?

I'm glad that this and Bandit Ring/Ancient Origins releases this Saturday so we should be getting all of these questions answered in the next couple of days.

If Frogadier is in the set, Delphox musn't, because there isn't place for both. Pikachu, Zekrom and Palkia are confirmed, so: Delphox or Frogadier. Palkia knows the solution...

I am sure that Noibat will be in the set, but...Noivern... I think Goomy will be their option to fill the space between White Kyurem and Regigigas.

About Braviary, yes, it's very unexpected, but... Why not? Not everything have to be Legendary Pokémon and 6th Pokémon. And with Braviary it has to be Rufflet.

I think that Inkay will be in the set also, but may be this time Psychic... And also Klefki (Fairy or Steel).
 
I think that pending legendary Pokémon, the next thought would be Pokémon that are featured in the movie. Since as far as I know there is no Delphox in the movie, it could just as easily be Frogadier then. Since James has an Inkay I suppose it's possible that it's in here too.

There is a reason for Noibat I guess, though technically I don't think it 's happened in the anime yet.

But Braviary/Rufflet aren't owned by any character so unless it is featured in the movie in some way I don't see why it would be present in a set as thematic as this one seems to be.

There's also the question of whether or not this set has secret rares and if so what they are. I would almost say that if they do it would be Latias EX and M. Latias EX as both she and her counterpart are featured in the movie too but we got M. Latios in Roaring Skies.

It has. Ash caught Noibat last week.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were a strong anime-related theme to this set, considering its main purpose is to be connected to the movies, and there's already Braixen, Dedenne, Hawlucha, and Pikachu confirmed. That means Chespin, Froakie/Frogadier, Pancham, and Noibat are all fair game, as could be other Pokémon of the group: Fletchling/Fletchinder, Bunnelby, Luxray, and even TR's Inkay, Pumpkaboo, or Meowth. If there really is an anime connection, I'd expect the Pokémon that feature the most in the movie to be reflected in the set.

In the OP's list, Rufflet and Braviary are kind of the odd 'mon out, but it's possible that one might be owned by one of the movie characters, so who knows. I expect most of the blanks will be more Legendaries.
 
I know Ash caught Noibat last week. But that was in Japan. Didn't want to spoil it for anyone who waits until the shows premiere in English and didn't know about that capture. Even so what I really meant was continuity wise doesn't the movie happen before Ash captures Noibat?

I too expect most of the Pokémon to b legendaries, based on the name.

This I don't actually know. I would assume that they would want the continuity to roughly match up to the show and Ash will have had Noibat for over a month by the time the movie comes out, but I suppose it's also possible they added in more than a month's worth of buffer in case of scheduling issues. Noibat hasn't been seen in any of the promotional materials so far, but that could also be because they didn't want the capture spoiled prematurely. I suppose we won't actually know until the movie airs.
 
Very interesting, if this set is indeed a major promotional set for the movie, then I wonder why they are choosing to not showcase Lugia or Kyurem despite their confirmation in the film. I think it would be safe to say that we would probably see just Braixen and Frogadier without their basic forms based on that, but its tricky.
 
Perhaps they don't feel the need to showcase Lugia and Kyurem in the mini set because they have EX's in Bandit Ring which releases at the same time.

You're right Athena all we can do is wait until we see the movie to know where Noibat stands in it.

Thats more than likely because kyurem and Lugia are in bandit ring which in itself is a set themed around the movie.

Lugia and Kyurem are both getting EXes in Bandit Ring, so that's probably why.

Well, Latias EX and M Latias EX as Secret Rares in a mini-set would be very weird. I think it will be in XY8 for example.

There are only 10 Legendary Holo Pokémon, and we know all of them.

If the cards show the Pokémon that are going to be in the set, there are only 4 common cards that we don't know which are. May be 3 of them are Goomy, Inkay and Pumpkaboo.
 
It just bugs me that we got M. Latios EX without getting M. Latias EX. I mean they're the eon duo for a reason. I had assumed/hoped we'd get M. Latias EX in Ancient Origins. The fact that we have to wait until (possibly) November just gets to me.

Pretty soon though we can all stop guessing about this as the cards should be revealed sometime in the next few days.
 
Meowth, Binacle, Inkay, Hawlucha and Pikachu were all released in ROS with no apparent reason; perhaps those are from this set?

I know binacle and hawlucha were either battle fiesta or mega charizard battle promos but i don't know where the others were from , just that they were also promos in japan.
Usually most of the extra fillers that are put in the English sets that weren't in a japanese main set are usually promos.

Yea , it says that for thw togekiss ex vs emboar ex deck too but that and the legendary shine mini set come out mid july at the same time.
its all on amiami.
 
I don't collect Japanese cards so I don't really know what amiami says. Oh, well it comes out when it comes out I guess.
