Legendary Holo Collection List Discussion Thread

Maybe it's already been updated, but the Legendary Holo main page on PokéBeach does state right in the beginning:
Legendary Holo Collection (伝説キラコレクション) is a special mini-set that will be released in Japan on July 18th, the same day as The Archdjinn of Rings – Hoopa. Its release comes a month after XY7 Bandit Ring hits store shelves.

The page does need to be updated though since it doesn't list the cards that were recently shown.

They're not. All of them are Japanese promos. Quick question though: Why would Goomy appear in the set? Ash have already released it, couldn't it be the Eevee that appears in the new anime opening? I think I read somewhere that Serena will capture it.
 
It is looking very likely that Serena will capture an Eevee, yes, but this probably won't happen before the movie is released. The episode where Eevee appears isn't even in the schedule, yet.

Not sure about it though... Meowth and Inkay appeared in a semi-spoof card in Roaring Skies. Although it ain't technically spoof, it's rather obviously TR's, and they're having a fight, so... don't expect them to reappear so quickly.

Is that confirmed yet? Brilliant! May first, now Serena.
Though I guess we should have expected it, with Sylveon being not unlike the flagship of Fairy Pokémon.

Serena capturing Eevee is pretty much confirmed. My thought is because she will get a Sylveon sooner or later, but there is thought it could evolve into Umbreon and that would be what it would take for Pancham to evolve into Pangoro, as per how it works in the game. My alternate thought would be Serena and Ash being in a tag team battle with her using Pancham and Ash using Frogadier, then if Frogadier evolves into Greninja then Pancham would evolve as well. A bit of stretch but this is the anime.

I'd prefer Sylveon, but who knows? They put Eevee in the Hoenn arc, when there shouldn't be any there. Who knows?
 
Oh I would prefer Sylveon too, hence why I like my alternative if they want to evolve Pancham to Pangoro and keep any similarity to how it works in game unless Serena picks up another dark type or they just plain disregard the similarity to the game...which is possible.

The thing is in hindsight Eevee being in the Hoenn arc wasn't random as May's return gave her one of the two Sinnoh eeveelutions Glaceon, anymore than Ash having Aipom was 'unwarranted' since in hindsight it lead to not only Ash trading Aipom for Dawn's Buizel but for Aipom to later evolve to Ambipom.

To think that those people actually planned out the anime series across the arcs. Never knew they were actually serious about it.

I wish they'd do Latias and M Latias too. It was rather strange (though not unprecedented) when they only had Latios. (Just like what they did in Bandit Ring by leaving out Espeon and Umbreon... boo-hoo...)
 
o_O Maybe I'm giving the animators too much credit come to think of it. Who knows for sure though.

Well the difference is that while Bandit Ring/Ancient Origins left out Espeon and Umbreon not putting all of them in the same set has been a thing for a long time. Before Roaring Skies there was no Latios without Latias also being there. Still there is no evidence that the Legendary holo collection even has secret rares, let alone that it will be Latias EX and M. Latias EX despite my fervent hopes.
 
Just hoping, all of us.

They haven't done that since Call of Legends; they only started this in XY. Plasma Freeze, the last Eeveelution-inclusive set, had all the Eeveelutions. DEX had two Umbreon, as well.
 
Depends on how you look at it I suppose. I consider all eeveelutions to be ALL of them avaliable at that time and Call of Legends eeveelutions was simply a reprint of Undaunted and both sets lacked Glaceon. You're right though that Plasma Freeze did indeed have all of them at that time.
 
Let's try to keep it on topic, guys. Further discussion on Eevolutions and the Anime can be taken to their corresponding Threads or be held in Profile Comments/Private Messages.

I'm still wondering what the other EX would be. Pikachu could very well be one, but I wouldn't bet my whole salary on it.
 
But wasn't it said somewhere that all of the holos of this set had been revealed? Does that not include EX's? Or are we getting a non holo EX for the first time since the POP stuff? Or is it a secret rare?

I doubt it would be Pikachu though I could be wrong. Heck, maybe we're getting that Pikachu EX full art that Japan got a long time ago. Or the Shiny M. Gengar EX despite it not being in the movie itself.

All the holos have been revealed but the set has 10 holos AND 2 EX. One Hoopa of course, but if you see the booster art the only two "stars" of the movie that aren't in the 10 holos legendary Pokémon are Pikachu and Hoopa, so for that i think we will get a Pikachu EX against Hoopa EX
 
The Pikachu full art was just standard not EX. In fact I don't believe any Pokemon that can still evolve has been given an EX.

The reason we never got M Latias is most likely because M Latios and M Latias are identical.

Think about it, is a special collection related to the movie. The boosters show legendarys and Pikachu in one and legendarys and Hoopa in the other. Hoopa have EX in this collection. All 10 FA Holo cards has been showed. The 3 Uncommon has to be Braixen (confirmed), Frogadier and Braviary and then commons.

Do you think that having the possibilitie of making a Pikachu EX, they are going to do a Common Pikachu in this set?
 
The fact that the two Eon megas are identical in looks is only a small point and I think irrelevant, we will most likely be getting a M. Latias. I base this on the M. Latios EX. The evolution text box does not have a picture of both of them, it has a picture of Latios only. It does not say evolves from Latios EX or Latias EX, just evolves from Latios EX. The name is not something like M. Lati EX or M. Lati(a)(o)s EX or anything like that. This card specifically says M. Latios EX and evolves from Latios EX. Let's not forget that Latias uses psychic and fire energy while Latios uses psychic and water. All of these will eventually be a small but defining difference between the two cards.

If it was intended for M. Latios/M Latias to share the same card it would be made clear on that card and there is nothing to indicate that. Granted I don't know the odds of actually seeing M. Latias EX and Latias EX in this mini set as secret rares or whatever but I believe it will happen.
 
I don't really think they'd scrap the other just because they look almost identical. Why did they make it like that in the first place then?
