Hum, while I like Dusknoir's look, the only movepool I can find fitting (not thinking competitively) is having a Ghost attack and the three punches (Ice, Fire & Electric) so you should have a nice and easy battle with...with...that flamboyant Ghost French trainer (she's so ridiculous I can't even remember her name nor bother searching for it U_U) and a nice coverage for other Pokémon. Try not to get dragged to the Ghost World/Realm!

Fantina's her name Leaf. She's how you say...magnifique.

*facepalm* Yup, Fantina, that's it, that's her name! Grrrr, that spinning around of hers...

I like Fantina. :< She reminds me of the flamboyant, cross-dressing uncle I never had.

RE: Lovely Charming Villain: Jessie's Adventures in Sinnoh - Prologue

Been a while. I went to pick up my DS to play more Platinum last night when I remembered that I didn't want to get further ahead because I already had 2 pages of notes untyped, so here we are!

Chapter 3: One the Road to Veridi- I mean, Oreburgh City!

I had just left Sandgem and was on my way through the next route in search of James when Ash suddenly pops out of a patch of grass and runs towards me. I do my best to greet him calmly and nicely, but I can't help facepalming when he says he wants to teach me how to catch a Pokémon.

"I already know how to catch Pokémon," I protest weakly as he grabs my wrist and pulls me towards the tall grass. "See, I've already caught my own Starly, even!" But Ash will not be deterred, so I just shut up and watch as he catches a Bidoof, hoping to make the process go by as quickly as possible. At least he gives me some free Pokéballs, so the experience isn't a total waste.

Otherwise, my travels through the route go pretty smoothly. I managed to catch a Bidoof of my own, and used Piplup to crush the few trainers who dared challenge me. Sure, I might only be in possession of a small blue penguin, but I used the knowledge gained from my trip through Kalos to easily win every battle. Soon, we were entering the first real city I've been to in Sinnoh: Jubilife.

Unfortunately for me, Ash was waiting for me right by the city limits.

"Hey, Jessie! How many Pokémon have you caught?

"Well, I got this bird thing and this derp rodent, so that's not bad for a first start I guess."

Huh? I think you should catch some more. It might be more of a challenge raising a lot of Pokémon... But it's worth it. The more Pokémon you have, the happier you'll be.

I raised an eyebrow "I'm not quite sure that's how that works..."

Ash seemed to pay no mind to my response, though. "Hey, that's right! Don't you think it's better to know more about Pokémon? Sure it is! There's this great place for that. Come on! It's all right. Follow me. That guy... What's he doing? Uh, excuse..."

I had begun to tune out the twerp's prattle, but when he mentioned the mysterious man, my eyes grew wide. Could he be looking for me? I stepped behind Ash to make myself less visible then peeked over his shoulder to take a look at the man in question, dark haired and dour, with a long coat.

We must not have been very discreet because the man soon noticed our attention. "WHAAAT?! ...How did you know? How did you unmask me as a member of the International Police?!"

Ohshi- he really was after me. I pushed my face down into my scarf and hunched over. If I acted just right, I might be able to throw off suspicion. I certainly wasn't in a position for a fight. It must have been my lucky day because the twerp and the copper proceeded to talk to each other and more or less ignore me completely.

"Huh? What? Are you kidding?" Ash looked legitimately dumbfounded. "I was just making small talk..."

"...Heh. You claim you were only making conversation, do you? But, I know better not to believe that." The man stood back and put a hand against his chin, pacing slowly as if deep in thought. "No, no, no. You recognized right away that I was someone extraordinary. That is why you spoke to me, is it not? Your power of observation is fearsome! Quite admirable, you are!"

He sighed and turned back towards us. "Now that my cover has been blown, let me introduce myself. I am a globe-trotting elite of the International Police. My name... Ah, no. I shall inform you only of my code name. My code name, it is Ranger. The Leaf Ranger. It is what they all call me." Then Ranger turned and looked my dead in the eye. "Incidentally, is the saying, 'Don't be a thief!' familiar to you?"

"Uh, yes, of course," I muttered quietly, hoping that was the expected answer.

"Yes, that is correct. Taking what belongs to others is wrong." Ranger puffed up his chest. "Unfortunately, there are apparently those who do not heed those words. In Sinnoh, in fact, there are criminals stealing the Pokémon of others. I have, therefore, been on the lookout for characters arousing my suspicion. Incidentally, you are Trainers, yes? Perhaps you can make use of this? That Vs. Recorder, it is a nifty device for recording a match. I obtained it because it is quite popular these days. But myself, I do not do Pokémon battling very often. It will be in better hands with you. Also, I have a request. If you were to see me again, I ask that you not talk to me, for I am on duty. ...Actually, yes, yes, you may speak to me. You must. Not because I am lonely, no, no! You must inform me of bad guys! You must inform me of any happenings!"

"Yes, sir," I replied, smiling weakly. It seemed that he wasn't after me after all, or perhaps he was under the mistaken assumption that I'd be acting in Team Rocket's name to steal Pokémon instead of posing as a legitimate trainer. Either way, I was safe. The guy seemed a couple loaves short of a basket anyway.

Ash seemed to be just as weirded out by the encounter as I was, though he managed to shrug it off fairly easily, getting back to his initial train of thought as he led me through the city. "Jessie, here we are. This is the Trainers' School. The name says it all! Your pal James went in earlier. He might still be studying in there. OK, see you around!"

So, it seemed like I finally found James. He was studying intently at a blackboard, copying down notes. He smiled when he saw me and waved me over. "I never knew there was so much intricate knowledge necessary for being a trainer! No wonder you did so much better than me before, but I'm really going to try this time, honest."

"You seem to be doing well so far," I grinned. "After all, you beet me here. You also got a package from HQ when I didn't." I thrust the package into his hands then grabbed a seat at a nearby desk to wait while he opened it. Inside were a couple of pamphlets.

"Huh, the other one must be for you." James handed one to me and I opened it up to see a large and rather detailed map of the Sinnoh region. It would certainly come in handy. "According to the map," he said as we both looked on, "the closest gym is in Oreburgh. That's not far at all! I've been training with Turtwig, so I think I'll have a decent shot at beating a gym this time."

"In that case, I wish you the best of luck." I waved as James exited out of the school and went on his way. After he was gone, I took a look at some of the information on the board, but none of it was new to me. I also battled a couple wannabe trainers in the school, then left to explore the rest of the city. There was no reason for me to rush to Oreburgh; I'd get there when I did, and if James got the credit this time around, I really wouldn't mind.

The rest of the city wasn't much interesting, unfortunately. Perhaps I was just too impressed by the Kalos cities for Sinnoh to make much of an impression on me. I did get a free, cool watch from a guy and stopped at the PokéMart to stock up on products, and also a fishing rod from a man by the gatehouse to the west. By this point, I'd spent most of my day walking back and forth between towns, so I just decided to spend the rest of the evening at the PokéCenter and get a fresh start in the morning.

The next day, I headed east to continue on the way to Oreburgh when I was suddenly jumped at by James. "What are you doing here?" I asked. "I thought you were heading off to the Gym."

"Turtwig and I spent the rest of the day training and then we ended up camping out under the stars because we were so tired."

"There's a PokéCenter right inside the town, you know..."

"Anyway, we're much stronger now, so I'd like to challenge you to another battle!"

I smiled and agreed, promising myself that I wouldn't go easy on him. If James wanted to do well, me babying him wouldn't help. He opened up with a Starly, but I managed to beat it rather easily with my Piplup. Turtwig was his last Pokémon, and he used the same withdrawing strategy as the initial battle which proved ineffective. James was certainly improving, but he wasn't at my level yet, not even close.

James sighed as he withdrew the KOed Turtwig. "I guess I should have known I'd lose; you're just so strong! But I think I still have a decent chance at the Gym, so I guess we'll see. Take care!"

After my battle with James, we decided to rest for a bit to heal, then headed back out on the route, battling wild Pokémon and trainers alike. One particular trainer gave me some trouble with a Kriketot, even knocking out my Piplup with it, though I was able to get revenge with Bidoof of all Pokémon and finish the battle. I tredged back to the PokéCenter to heal up Piplup, then went back on the road, beating trainers and making my way to a cave known as the Oreburgh Gate. Inside, I received the gift of an HM from a Hiker, though he warned me I'd need a Gym Badge in order to use it properly. Luckily for me, that was my next stop. Right before the end of the cave, I was greeted with another surprise: Piplup was evolving! I watched in fascination as it grew into a Prinplup. Sure, I've seen a lot of Pokémon evolve, but it's always a fascinating experience. Finally, I exited the cave into our next stop: Oreburgh City.

Current Team:
Prinplup- Lv. 16
HM Starly - Lv. 2
HM Bidoof - Lv. 5

Highlights/Notes/Thoughts:
I'm still not all the way caught up to where I am in-game, but plot takes up time and there's so much plot still. So we end up with another long chapter. Ah well, at least we're progressing. :p

I do, however, need to elucidate the EPIC BIDOOF BATTLE.

So, I'm walking around, derping with Piplup, when I battle this trainer with a Kriketot who opened up with Bide. It outspeeds me and lets off Bide before I can KO it, which gets Piplup KOed in return. Shit. I haven't even saved in a while, so I figured "what the hell, let's see if one of my HM butts can take it down." Bidoof won out over Starly since it was Lv. 3 instead of Lv. 2. I beat the Kriketot pretty easily (it only had like 1hp left) and got up to Lv. 5 when the youngster brings out his Zubat. Zubat confuses Bidoof, but the Bidoof manages to attack through confusion all 3 rounds before he shakes it off. The Zubat's been Leech Lifing or whatever so he's still around, and he confuses Bidoof again, but the Bidoof tackles again twice through the confusion to knock it out. Not once did it attack itself in its confusion (though I did need to spend a turn healing it with a potion because of all the leech lifes).

Best battle ever.

RE: Lovely Charming Villain: Jessie's Adventures in Sinnoh - Chapter 3

Imagine if this was a Nuzlocke, Piplup would be buried already...which wouldn't bad at all! U_U Turtwig rules!

Btw, is your new image Jessie's look in Sinnoh and if I might add, inspired in the above posts about Fantina (Jessie now has a Phantump and Fantina's personality aren't that far from Jessebelle and all other alias)? :p

RE: Lovely Charming Villain: Jessie's Adventures in Sinnoh - Chapter 3

Actually, my new avatar is from this image of the main MLP characters as Pokémon Trainers. :p I did choose Rarity as Dawn out of all six of them mostly because of this run, true, though I do like your comparisons to Jessie and Fantina. :D

My own mental image of Jessie-as-Dawn is more akin to Jessie-as-Serena, though obviously with the Dawn outfit instead. Maybe I'll draw it at some point, if it strikes me...

RE: Lovely Charming Villain: Jessie's Adventures in Sinnoh - Chapter 3

Why is it that MLP invaded almost everything!? It's worse than the back plague. *facepalm* No, I don't want to hear the greatness that it might be, it's was a rhetorical question and I don't care because I might fall for it!

Oh by Arceus, I'd forgotten that image of Jessie as Serena (Jessie looks like a teenage sl*t and the only thing missing to make it even more disturbing was having James disguised as Delphox (male pretending to be a female looking Pokémon that looks little like a female)...when Jessie faces Fantina, we'll have a battle of drag-queens look alike! Oh, and since Dawn's Piplup also like to cross-dress, it'll be a party for everyone! :D

OH GOD WHAT IS THIS CANNOT UNSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

#ontopic, liking this run so far. I don't know the story of the Sinnoh games (Pearl's the only game I've played, and I still don't know it well), so the story's interesting, and your improv'd writing is definitely well done. :D Looking forward to reading the rest.

The internet loves crossovers. I've got crossover pictures of Pokémon with almost all the other video games I like and some anime, too, so it's not really all that surprising to see MLP/Pokémon crossover stuff.

That was actually one of the most hilarious episodes we've had in XY so far. Especially the exchange between Jessie and Serena when confronted.

Also, glad you're liking the run! :D It's been ages since I've played Gen IV and I have a shit memory, so I don't really remember much of the story myself, aside from little bits of plot that I remember actually from DNA and KoN's playthroughs rather than direct sources.

Alright, I'd actually like to be able to play some more, so let's keep going with the story!

Chapter 4: Badges for Everyone!

Oreburgh City was certainly an interesting place. Its origins as a mining town were pretty evident from all of the rock walls and ground vents. Overtime, as the mine grew, so did the population, though calling it a "city" still felt like something of a stretch to my mind. The largest building was a museum dedicated to mining (of course) and the second largest was the Pokémon Gym. At least Jubilife had the TV Station

I stopped to heal at the PokéCenter and then wandered around the museum before heading towards the Gym. I couldn't help but remember how nervous I was before my first gym battle in Kalos and how much training and preparation I did. I was much more confident this time around, especially if the Gym would end up being a Rock-type gym like I was expecting.

Unfortunately, I would have to wait to find out. The Gym was closed, and James was outside its doors, grinning like a madman. "Jessie, Jessie, I did it!" he shouted, running up to hug me as I arrived. "I beat the Gym Leader! He was tough, but I did it! I have my first badge, see?" He flipped his scarf over to show me the badge he had pinned to the backside, a round-ish, rock-looking badges outlined in gold. "Grass-types are strong against Rocks, but so are Water-types, so it shouldn't be too hard for you either. Though... Roark -- that's the leader's name -- he's gone off to the mines again for now, so I guess you'll have to wait before you can battle him."

"Huh, so the leader's also a miner." I raised my eyebrows. "I guess everyone probably is in this place. I'll go track him down so I can grab a badge of my own; thanks for the head's up!" We waved and parted ways, James heading off towards the next route, and me following the roads to the southern mine entrance.

The mine itself was kind of a dark and dingy place. There were miners and Pokémon everywhere you looked, digging for coal, and the very air was dingy with dust and sediment. I pulled my scarf up over my mouth and nose to avoid breathing in the coal dust as I made my way through, questioning the miners as I went. I was directed to a new portion of mine towards the back, and there I found a miner working diligently with a Pokémon to expand the mines even deeper. When he heard my approach, he stopped to look over to me and I froze for a moment. He looked just like my ex-boyfriend!

After I got over my initial embarrassment, I watched carefully as he demonstrated the power of the Rock Smash HM to me. "If you could get the Badge from the Gym in town," he explained. "You'd be able to do this too. Of course, you'd have to beat the Gym Leader first. That'd be me!"

"Oh, good, I was looking for you," I said with a warm smile. "I was hoping to challenge the Gym. Would you mind taking a break from your work so we could have a battle?"

"Certainly not!" He grinned. "See you back at the Gym!"

My stomach was grumbling and I thought about stopping for lunch, first, but since Roark was nice enough to take a break from his own schedule for me to battle him, I figured it would be rude to keep him waiting. I'd just have to have a celebratory lunch afterward is all! I followed Roark out of the mines and over to the Gym. He waved and went into a secret access to head towards the back of the Gym, leaving me to make my way to battle him.

The Gym itself was fairly simple, with a couple extra trainers and a series of paths where I could avoid them if I chose. Instead, I decided to beat down both of them, practicing my Rock-type strategy before I reached Roark. It worked just as well as I expected, and I took down the leader himself with relative ease, OHKOing all three of his Pokémon with Prinplup's newly-learned Bubblebeam.

"This is embarrassing..." Roark grumbled as he withdrew his Cranidos. "I went and lost to a Trainer who didn't have a single Gym Badge... But that's tough. You were strong and I was weak. That's all there is. According to Pokémon League rules, I have to give you our Gym Badge since you've beaten me, the Leader. Here's your official Pokémon League Coal Badge." He handed me over a copy of the same badge James had earned with a smile, along with a TM. "You earned it."

We parted ways and I took my Pokémon back to the PokéCenter for some rest and some lunch. Battling is tough work! Afterwards, I looked around for James but didn't see him, so I decided to press on and head to Route 207. In the grass, I came across a wild Machop and decided to catch it so that I'd have someone to use the HM I was just able to learn, but sadly I wasn't able to make it any further since a steep ramp was the only way to progress further down the path. With a sigh, I headed back to Oreburgh to examine my options.

Back in the city, I did finally run into James. "Hey, Jessie, did you beat Roark and get a Gym badge?"

"Yep." I smiled. "He was kind of a pushover."

"Of course you'd say that, you beat everyone." James stuck his tongue out. "Sadly, I'm kind of a loss of how to progress from here."

"Well, let's take a look at our maps and see if we can't figure it out." We sat down at a bench together and I pulled out my Sinnoh map. "See, there's a route here heading north from Jubilife, right? We should be able to head that way."

"I went there already," James grumbled, "but the path through the cave is full of rocks, so you can't get any further that way either."

"Did you get the HM for rock smash? I have a Machop now, so we should be able to smash our way through."

James leaped up. "Brilliant idea! I guess I need to go catch a Machop now, too, so I'll see you around!" He was running off before I could get a word in, heading back towards Oreburgh Gate and Jubilife. I chuckled and headed off after him, admiring his speed and perseverance, though I couldn't help but wish he wasn't in such a rush.

Instead, I decided to take my time, exploring through Oreburgh Gate before heading on. Smashing some rocks opened up a deeper level to the cave for me, though water blocked me from getting any deeper, so I went back to the top and headed back on to Jubilife. Once there, I somehow managed to run into Ranger again. He must have recognized me from earlier, since he approached as soon as I came close.

"Jessie, well met!" he greeted me warmly as if we were old friends and made a bit of small talk while I tried to be polite in responding to him. It was uncomfortable for me to spend much time around the police, but I felt avoiding him would have only served to make me more suspicious. Finally, he broke off the conversation. "Anyway, there appears to be no one shady in this Jubilife City. I shall therefore take my investigation elsewhere. But, my friend, I suggest you remain vigilant for shady grown-ups!"

"I will," I assured him, smiling and waving as he headed off. I breathed a deep sigh of relief once he was gone, heading briskly towards the north to make my way onwards.

As I walked along, I eventually began to hear some strange, loud voices coming from further up towards the route. "Now, now, now, now, now! Professor DNA, you must comply. Hand over all your research findings. For free, naturally. Failure to comply will result in a painful time for your assistant."

I turned a corner and saw them standing there, blocking the entrance to the path out of town as they confronted the twerp and the professor. They both wore weird teal haircuts and strange, quasi-futuristic clothing. I thought I had been fairly sneaky, but DNA saw me and gestured me over, ignoring the weird punks entirely.

"Ah, Jessie," he greeted me. "Well? How is the Pokédex progressing?"

"Pretty good, I think. I've caught 4 Pokémon now, and also... "I handed over my Pokédex and also showed him the badge I'd earned from Roark.

"Hm! That’s Oreburgh’s Gym Badge, I see. But hadn’t I given you your first Pokémon only recently...? Perhaps being a Trainer is like second nature to you."

"I guess so," I replied, though I was spared the need to make further small talk by the annoyance of the two weirdos.

"Oh, professor of Pokémon, must you be so difficult? We are speaking to you on business. Because this is work for us. What we're saying is--we demand you comply with our demands."

DNA turned around and stared them both down with eyes glittering with menace. "Quiet, you lot! Why must you be such a nuisance? Let me list some lessons you still need to learn. #1: Don’t loiter about for no good reason. #2: Don’t interrupt others while they are attempting to converse. #3: If you don’t get your way, don’t raise your voice to be intimidating. #4: Don’t think you’ve grown strong just because you’re in a group. #5: What is with those outlandish outfits you have on? My goodness... You call yourselves adults? You kids, don’t grow up to be like these sorry specimens."

"And #6," I chimed in, "why are you guys talking like some bad fan translation? Are you aliens or something?"

"Eeeeeh!" one of the two screamed. "You had to make this personal! You have forced our hand into making a show of force! We will make you regret insulting Team Galatic!"

Team Galactic! Were these weirdos really the team that the boss sent me to investigate? They seemed even more laughable than Team Flare, with their bizarre outfits and outlandish manner of speaking.

DNA sighed, facepalming. "You kids, give these thugs a lesson in civility, please."

I looked at Ash and shrugged and we both entered into a Pokémon battle with the grunts. Ash sent out his Pokémon, a Chimchar, and I sent out Prinplup. Ash somehow managed to be even less effective than usual, leaving me and Prinplup to do all the work. Thankfully, we were well prepared for the task and made short work of both Pokémon.

"How is this madness possible?" One of them exclaimed after being beaten. "The two of us, losing to children?"

I bit back an angry retort as the other one continued, "This won't do... Time to retreat. This mission is a failure. You leave us no option. We will retreat for now. We shall do so because Team Galactic is benevolent to all."

"Yeah, benevolent, I'm sure," I muttered as they both ran away with their metaphorical tails between their legs.

"That lot..." DNA grumbled. "They called themselves Team Galactic. When Pokémon evolve, they seem to release some type of energy... However, I believe that it’s a mystic power far beyond our control. But Team Galactic seems to be studying that power’s potential. They want to know if it can be used as energy for something..."

"So that's what they're after? The evolutionary energy of Pokémon? That seems kind of... weird."

"Jessie, did you know about this?" Ash asked. "The professor studies the evolution of Pokémon, too. According to his research, 90% of all Pokémon are somehow tied to evolution! Maybe that's the reason those goons tried to take the professor's research data. They're not allowed to do that!"

"It’s all over, so you can relax now. Still, thanks to you two, nothing came of that situation. I appreciate that. Incidentally, Jessie. Kudos to you for your battling skill. It got me thinking. Why don’t you collect all the Gym Badges of Sinnoh? Doing so, you will be sure to encounter lots of Pokémon. That, of course, means your Pokédex pages will continuously fill up. In other words, it will be of great help to my research. That said, I’ve given you your first Pokémon and Pokédex as yours to keep. You’re free to do with them as you wish. Take care now."

DNA and Ash left, leaving me alone. I considered breaking to send a message to HQ about my encounter with Galactic, but it seemed a bit premature. This evolution energy might be only facet to their overall plan; I would need to learn a lot more about hem before the knowledge could be of any use to the boss. Instead, I followed along the path, breaking the boulders that blocked my way and continuing on to new paths and adventures.

Current Team:
Prinplup- Lv. 20
HM Starly - Lv. 2
HM Bidoof - Lv. 5
HM Machop - Lv. 7

Highlights/Notes/Thoughts:
Finally caught up to where I am in game, wooo~ Now I can actually play again. >_> I guess this chapter ended up being pretty long, too; sorry for being so wordy...

It's funny that it's really only with these playthrough write-ups that I realize how awful a lot of the dialogue in these games is. And Platinum seems MUCH worse than X, too. The Galactic grunts really do sound like aliens as they're talking, and Rowan/Barry/Lucas's text isn't much better. I mean, I know no one really plays Pokémon for the plot, but still.

To make matters even "better", apparently Bulbpedia doesn't have the grunts' game scripts (I usually use them to copy/paste the in-game text), so I had to watch a Youtube Nuzlocke video to get the text for this section. If it were something less important I wouldn't have bothered, but since Jessie's mission revolves around Team Galactic, I figured it would be better to quote them.

The whole "Roark looks like my ex-boyfriend" thing is a self-reference that I actually find rather funny. When D/P first came out, I bought and played the games with my live-in boyfriend at the time. This boyfriend went by the online/game handle of Roark after the character from some Ayn Rand novel (NOTE: I have since learned that people who like Ayn Rand don't make good boyfriends). So, we're playing together and I'm somewhere in Oreburgh when boyfriend turns to me and asks "Hey, have you gotten to the first gym yet? What's the leader's name for you?" Apparently he was confused by the gym leader having the same name as his in-game trainer and thought that maybe the name was based off of the player or something. :p And thus, Roark of Oreburgh will always remind me of my ex-boyfriend.

Stay tuned for next time when I hopefully catch a non HM Pokémon! :3

"I'm here for the bad guys!!...Oh, you've defeated them already! -_-' "
...
Yup, that's the International Police for you! No, I'm not a relative of Officer Jenny! The only reason I didn't defeated and arrested Team Rocket back in Kanto (yup, I was disguised as an old man) was because I feel asleep and by the time I woke up I was already in Sinnoh (it's a cruiser that goes around the world so...).

"My" debut was lame (due to the game, not because of you Athena!) and so was the second meeting! Why are the police always so...derp? You're right about the game's dialogue and having James/Barry as an idiot on Rage Candy bars doesn't help either!

I guess if the police of these games were more competent, we wouldn't have these evil organizations running around to beat anyway, so really the Pokémon protagonists should be thanking you for your shoddy work for all the extra easy XP they get by beating those guys! :D

Alright, now this playthrough can really get started. I mean, how can you do a playthrough of a Pokemon game without Machamp? YOU CAN'T, THAT'S HOW.

Machamp The Champion said:

By that logic... well, not everyone can trade, or get the other game and a another handheld. So if you can't trade...you can't beat a game. And I couldn't trade until gen 4.

I couldn't trade until Gen 4, either. I had a couple friends I played the TCG with back in ye olde dayes, but it wasn't until D/P that I had a trading buddy in person (I was playing Pearl while my then-boyfriend played Diamond) and of course there was online trading, too, so I could trade with friends online.

Sorry for the lack of updates I just... honestly haven't been feeling like playing Pokémon. Perhaps doing this right after my Kalos run was a bad idea. Every time I start the file up I get bored and end up turning it off quickly. Since I'm afraid if I force myself it'll make me really not want to play ORAS when it comes out, I'm taking a break from Pokémon playing.

After ORAS, either I'll likely either be even more sick of Pokémon or in the mood to play even more. In case of the latter, I'll pick this back up then; in case of the former, I'll probably put this on hiatus and do a Jessie run of PMD as a dream sequence or something that takes place in the middle of this.
