  • 1 super rod
  • 3 vs seeker
  • 3 Mega Turbo
  • 2 battle compressor
  • 1 professor's letter
Energy 8:

Strategy:

The strategy is to have mega sceptile and possibly get giratina powered up in one turn with jagged saber and a double dragon energy! Other than that it's pretty straight forward. If there is anything you want me to explain please let me know.

How does your vileplume lines help this deck. It seems like they take up too much space in the deck that could be for more consistency.

With as many items as you have now it seems like they would hurt you more than help.

The items I have I don`t really need late game. It is supposed to lock your opponent with items as well, and the items I chose I can live without. Also AZ and forest of giant plants

I would take out all of the Items you don't use to set up. Things like Switch and Professor's Letter clog up the deck once you get Vileplume set up. I'd try to find Supporter alternatives. AZ can be your Switch for example, and you're going to need at least 3 of them because the first thing your opponents are going to try to do is Lysandre Vileplume and make it sit there until they can knock it out.

I think all the items are fine with AZ and forest of giant plants because AZ allows you to pick up vileplume to play all the items and then put it back down with forest of giant plants. Professor's letter is needed for sceptile to get a powered up giratina or other pokemon. Icould take out a switch though. Maybe for shaymin or another AZ.

You only have 1 Az and you can't vs seeker under item lock
Which is why I want to add another. I can use VS seeker to get the AZ back also when I use AZ that turn so I pick up vileplume and put it back down with Forest of Giant Plants.

So do I take out the switch?

Probably take out a vs seeker. 2 is probably enough for a vs seeker.

You should really just take them all out for supporters you plan to use more often.

That is what I was planning, but supporters you can only use once per turn which could slow this deck down. I would be okay with getting rid of 1-2 VS seekers for other supporters, but what supporters?

You probably want 2 or 3 Az. Probably more draw support. I want to say that it onto be inconsistent. Not enough supporters, pokemon search.

How about I go with 2 AZ And another draw supporter. I don't want another sycamore because you don't want to be discarding to many cards with vile plume. Maybe ace trainer or Shauna because I don't like running birch.

And also what about switch do I take it out?

I think you need to take out some of the not so important cards for more consistency.

-2 sky field
-1 town map
-1-1 Ariados
-2 Vs Seeker

+2 Ultra Ball
+1 Forest of giant Plants
+1 Lysandre
+1 AZ
+2 Shauna

I think 1 Switch is always good to have.

The decks that tend to do the best are as consistent as possible and they tech where needed.

I think I should keep the sky field or maybe take out 1. This deck has lots of pokemon to put on the bench. Idid have another stadium instead of that, but didn't work very well at all. And what about shaymin. I didn't know how to add it so maybe instead of a shauna a shaymin? Also most sceptile decks I see run malamar-EX. Do you think it is a good idea because you really rely on coin flips but it can make your opponent asleep. But then I have to add dark energies if I want to attack. Ariados also saved me lots of games. That poison really makes a difference. One time I used the turn end on the mega evolution and added a muscle band and poison to OHKO lots of things like bats that really hurt my opponent with not allowing him to pick them up.

I updated the list. Please tell me if there are corrections to be made.

After looking at my list, I think I should take out the hex maniac for an ultra ball or trainer's mail. Also I think I could use more draw supporters.

I would consider taking out the Vileplume or Sceptile lines, and making the deck either Giratina-Vileplume or Sceptile-Giratina, myself. From my experience, playing Vileplume you'll want to try and get it out ASAP, which means having room for 2-3 Level Balls, as well as 3-4 AZ. It also means that you might not be able to draw into the Mega/DDEs you need, when you need them.

I think Sceptile/Giratina is a good idea, and taking out the Vileplumes would leave room for more Trainer's Mails, Supporters such as Skyla and Hex Maniac, and Double Dragon Energy for Giratina. I'm not hugely sure why you run Skyfield either, so cutting those would also give you some more space. 4 Ultra Balls and 4 Sycamore would be good, and I'd include a Hoopa-EX for quick searching too.

I'd also recommend some Mega Turbos and Super-Scoop Ups, as it's a healing deck. I think keeping a 1-1 line of Ariados would be good too, if it's working out for you.

Thank you for the advice. With this deck, I normally get Vileplume out on turn 1-4 about %90 of the time. This really annoys my opponent most of the game. I did have a 3-2 sceptile line, but I couldn't get a sceptile out on turn one so I did change that to a 4-3 line and I am consistently getting Mega Sceptile on turn 2-3. I do think another ultra ball will help for consistency. Same with hoopa which I could get most of the time with four ultra balls which instead of getting one EX I can get 3 (4 if you include hoopa) Getting the Giratinas, Sceptiles, and the Vileplume line out fast is key to this deck. I was considering Skyla which makes sense when I am on item lock. That is the reason why I don't feel like adding more items like mega turbo or super scoop ups. AZ is the better option in the deck because it is a supporter rather than an item. When Garbodor is back I won't feel too worried because of the item lock. They can't play their tools to attach to Garbodor. That is why I don't run startling mega phone ,but i could run Xerosic. The sky field is because of this deck always having a full bench. I can't fit the pokemon on the bench that I need in the game. There are 14 basic pokemon. Also with two shaymin-EXs, I always seem to have them down in the game which only leaves 3 bench space. Sky field alows me to have 6 benchspace when I play both shaymins. Another reason is when I have shaymins (and if I add it, Hoopa)I can put them out of harms way with a counter stadium. I do want to add another DDE because when there is 1 prized, I didn't know it and I had to discard one, I only had the one psychic energy left, so I would want to switch a Psychic energy with a DDE or should I keep the energies the same?

Well if the deck's working, I guess that's fair enough. I would definitely add another DDE instead of the Psychic energy, though be careful of Jirachi. And yes, when Garbodor is back Xerosic will be pretty essential. You can even use the Garbodor to your advantage, allowing it to shut off your Item Lock, play all your items down then Xerosic the tool, getting the lock back up again and shutting them out of playing Tools onto it.

I got in the DDE, and in a match I think it saved me. I had to discard one early, and one was prized, so I had about five cards left, no attackers, no vileplume, one card in my hand, and I drew a shaymin and got the DDE which I attached to a giratina that had 3 grass and that 100 damage gave me the last two prizes with the DDE being one of them. Kind of a dramatic match, but it proves that the DDE was worth it.

Should I take out the Professor's Letter for a Fisher Man in BREAKThrough? Also I have been having trouble not decking out when this deck goes to late game so should I use Sacred Ash or Super Rod?
