Rainy posted what NP quoted in this thread; here. I reckon we should leave him atm. He got lynched in Duck Hunt for it, so I think we should give him a chance to change his attitude.
I was thinking the same thing—I want to give him an opportunity to show us why he doesn't deserve to be lynched. He didn't get much playtime in DH, either.

First time I see a case being made on someone before the game starts. Anyway, policy lynches are for when we lack of reads, or when the player being blamed actually hinders the process of scumhunt/ discussion. If he said that, but later on contributes and scum hunts, I don't see a valid reason to lynch him. What do you two think about that?
I think the fact he is rooting for the opposition is inherently anti-town. If he is not 100% committed, he will hinder the process of discussion, as we have no idea if what he's saying is fake (working towards his ultimate goal of the scum winning). It's at least better than some terrible Day 1 lynch.

I will leave that topic alone for now, until we can see if it's gonna turn into a problem.

Anyway,

For winning last game:
##VOTE: scattered mind
I didn't realise you couldn't "like" posts, so just so everyone's on the same page, I did "like" this post before! (I've unliked it now. Sorry @Squirtle Squad! >~<)

Like bb said, he just got lynched in Duck Hunt for rooting for scum. We need to give him time to learn from his mistakes, or even give him a chance to make another post in thread before even thinking about policy lynching.

He was rooting for the opposition BEFORE he got lynched in Duck Hunt for doing the same thing. Hence, let's see if his attitude changes.

While I agree with this sentiment, I don't agree with the last post. While playing a game is fun and all we should not keep people in the game on the basis of "they haven't played much of the game" (wasn't your defence in your first game "I'm new so I haven't gotten to play much, keep me around so I can keep playing"?). I'm gonna withhold touching on the Rainyman subject for now as he hasn't posted yet, though if he's going to be nothing but deadweight or actively hurting the town I'd be down for a lynch if we don't find someone explicitly scummy.

Having not played in DH, I feel like I'm missing something. Here's what I'm getting; lmk if it's more or less accurate:
  • @rainyman123, at some point in DH, mentioned that he was "rooting for the scum", and was instantly lynched for it.
  • Rainy has also said basically the same thing at the beginning of this game, and thus he's made himself into a target.
  • There is no other compelling evidence that any of you have brought up against rainy, or against anyone else.
If I'm on the same page as the rest of you, it sounds like rainy isn't learning from his mistakes. I assume someone mentioned during/after DH that rooting for scum is a very very scummy thing to do. If that's the case, by all rights he should have noted not to say anything of the sort this game. He is still new, so I'm sort of hesitantly willing to give him the benefit of the doubt (at least until he makes another post).

Otherwise ...
What Rainy does in Duck Hunt has little relevance to this game here.
I don't like this sentence. At all. A person's first game of Mafia (or a game similar to Mafia) has plenty of relevance to games they play in later. You of all people should know that, Jesi. :L

The thing that you've missed is that rainyman posted about rooting for mafia here around the same time as his "rooting for mafia" post in DH. He got lynched after that. So, it can't be determined whether or not he has learnt from his mistakes just yet.

What Rainy does in Duck Hunt has little relevance to this game here.
Thinking about what Jabber pointed out, [Future Reference].

Host's Note
Likes are not allowed in this game. I meant to put a notice in the Day 1 Update but forgot. No warnings will be given to those who have "liked" posts so far in Day 1, however any likes after this point will result in a warning.
Thanks @bbninjas for pointing this out.

While he did say that he was rooting for scum, he did bring up valid points, and did a great job creating discussion. Also, not knowing whether what he's saying is fake or not isn't completely a valid point, as that's the case with everyone. Until someone starts claiming ability results, we're all just posting opinions, and it's up to everyone else to determine if they think they're valid.

However, the one thing he did that indeed was inherently anti-town was trying to lynch experienced players just for the sake of making the game more challenging.

@rainyman123 Are you still rooting for scum?

Even if he is confirmed town, we can't trust him. I normally can use reads to determine my trust for someone, but Rainy is just a wild card, since he wants scum to win.

What about not voting for the players he believed were scum?

Not as much, as he did voice his opinion regarding it. But we're not here to discuss scummy plays in other games, and until he shows up, arguing about it is completely useless, and is apparently only slowing the game down.

##UNVOTE: PIKAMASTERJESI

Welcome back to Mafia, SF!

##Vote: Scorched Feathers

Charmed. Glad to be back! Forgive me if I'm a bit rusty, haven't played Mafia in over a year, if I remember correctly.
Sorry for the late post by the way, I literally got Moon as soon as possible on Wednesday and played it non-stop; now I've completed the main game I'm a lot more free for this!

Going to withold my vote for now until there's a more credible lynch candidate.
