Dugtrio using the power of his ancestors is just awesome
It couldn't as that would put it out of order. Galarian Yamask is in slot 41, and is National Pokédex #562. Sandaconda is #844, which would mean it could only go *after* Galarian Runerigus and there's only one spot open after it before Kubfu. If there were a Sandaconda VMAX, it'd be without the V, which seems very unlikely.
Yeah, we can safely assume at this point that this is just going to be a garbage set lol
A card is only as bad as you make it... or perhaps more accurately, as the format you play it in makes it. If this format isn’t fun to you, maybe try another!... such as cube format, for instance, where the cube builder decides what cards to and not to include. A set isn’t garbage just because most of the cards are unplayable in the official formats... you just need to think outside the perimeters of Standard and Expanded format.Yeah, we can safely assume at this point that this is just going to be a garbage set lol
Okay, but I'm talking about in the context of official formats. Obviously if you just play a format with the strongest cards removed weaker cards become better.A card is only as bad as you make it... or perhaps more accurately, as the format you play it in makes it. no room for anything else alphabetically in the japanese set list, the spots between karen and brawly would certainly be klara and avery considering theyre getting the promo sleeves as wellRight? This Braviary means no more Item cards in the set. It would take a reprint of N to save it, but we'll probably get Klara and Avery instead.
Agreed. Unfortunately it's usually the case that the cards revealed ahead of time tend to be those that are at least mildly playable, or have some interesting feature within their design. Here the only 'new' thing is that the raw damage output has been scaled up a bit (see Volcarona and Braviary), which hardly matters from a competitive player's point of view. I for one hope they bring back something akin to Vivid Voltage's Shiftry. Gimmicks are always fun, regardless of whether they're playable or not.Isn't there still hope for Chilling Reign, since it's formed by this and the other 2 sets from Japan?
PS: I do find weird though that people seem to be saying like "yup, this is it, look at this, set's trash, bois!". Aren't these non-rule box pokémon, as a general rule, almost always trash? Save very rare cases, aren't sets comprised of like at least 90% of random jank pokémon exactly on the same line as this one? When was the last time any set was considered good for anything other than rule-box pokémon and trainers? Isn't that unfortunately the norm at this point?
