'Matchless Fighter' Revealed as March's Japanese Set!

It unironically feels like the majority of common and uncommon Pokémon in these sets are being designed by AI

Well, the rest of the set should drop this evening... so hopefully we get some surprise. Klara and Avery train Poison and Psychic pokémon, so hopefully we get something to support Psychic pokémon that have fallen by the wayside - the only thing propping them up at the moment is Dragapult V-Max.

If Urshifu doesn't kill Eternatus, Avery will.

Why did they ban Bellelba & Brycen-Man if they were just going to print this instead?

Passimian + telescopic sight now lets urshifu one shot dedennes, kricketunes, eldegeosses, and crobats on the bench. Geez

Another Scraggy-Scrafty? We have so many versions and yet none of them are fighting types. Just a shame is all.
love them but yeah, this is like the 10th pair of them in 10 years and theyve all been dark type. these ones arent even a single strike either

speaking of

Scraggy:
Hard head: During your opponent's next turn, this pokemon takes 10 less damage from attacks (before weakness/resistance)

Scrafty:
Headbutt: (no effect)
Frighten: Discard a card from your opponent's hand without looking.

  • Weedle/Kakuna/Beedrill - great counter to Battle Styled decks. Also, its for 1 Aurora, so Mustard then Aurora and OHKO any decks that run Spec. Energy. 2/2/4
  • Heracross - with all the damage boost SS has, 40 is bad, 160+ is critical since it has 25% chance of happening, without Glimwood applied. 3-4
  • Petilil/Liligant - bland. 2/2
  • Blaziken V/Vmax - Tech in some RS decks. 2-3/4
  • Larvesta/Volcarona - bland. 2/3
  • Tentacool/Tentacruel - bland. 2/2
  • Delibird - Marnie: Hello there! 3
  • Carvanha/Sharpedo - bland. 1/2
  • Sobble/Drizzile/Inteleon - I can agree on the sniping damage, extra dmg is always good. It's a stage 2, means Mustard can be used. 3/3/4-5
  • Kubfu/RS Urshifu - Water Falinks. 2-3/3-4
  • SS Urshifu - Houndoom, 220+ dmg for 3. 3-4
  • Chinchou/ Lanturn - bland. 2/2-3
  • Thundurus - good yet bland. 3-4
  • Dracozolt V/Vmax - fine. 3/3-4
  • G.Articuno V - good discarding support, good draw option. 4-5
  • Woobat/Swoobat - if we only have Judge... 2/3-4
  • Swirlix/Slurpuff - bland. Slurpuff is interesting but still bland. 2/3-4
  • Hatenna/Hattrem/Hatterene - It's a Stage 2! How will you t1 it? Orbettle? heck, even Orbeetle is a stage 2. You need an Orbeetle with Triple Accel turn 2. 2/2/3
  • Diglett/Dugtrio - still risky. 2/3
  • G. Farfetch'd/Sirfetch'd - 160+ more dmg. 3-4
  • Passimian - one of our PR promos from Chilling Reign. So good that RS Urshifu can snipe Crobats for 3 energy. 4-5
  • G. Zapdos V - Anti-Weakness Guard, anti-Eternatus. 5 Geodudes
  • Roggenrola/Boldore/Gigalith - it's been a long time, my friend. 2/2/2
  • G. Yamask/Runerigus - VMax can still use weaker attacks to troll you. 3/3-4
  • G. Moltres V - Extra Energy Attachment. Making Eternatus can go T1. 5 Geodudes
  • G. Slowking V/VMax - still counterable. 3/3-4
  • Seviper - If you can T1 it... 3-4
  • Venipede/Whirlipede/Scolipede - lalala bland. 2/2/2-3
  • Spiritomb - Mad Party see no play even before Spiritomb is revealed. 5 Geodudes
  • Scraggy/Scrafty - bland. 2/2
  • Zangoose - If you can T1 it... 3
  • Shaymin - bland. bland. bland. 2
  • Lilipup/Herdier/Stoutland - Gosh! Bland as heck. Ability is literally Shell Armor but confusely reworded. 2/2/3
  • Rufflet/Braviary - the theme of this set... BLAND. 2/2
  • Welcoming Lantern - Good for respamming Karens and some SS Supporters in the future. 5
  • Echoing Horn - good with ADP. 5 for now.
  • Galarian Chestplate - I don't see some uses here. 3-4
  • Karen's Convictions - 5 Geodudes
  • Brawly - you can't even search Kubfu with that. 3
  • Avery - not just an Eternatus counter but also giving your opponent an advantage to discard bench sitters like Dedenne, and Crobat, and Oricorio, that are prone from gusting. So no free 2-prizes for you, Ha! 4-5
  • Klara - this makes Ordinary Rod some sort of a useless one, maybe. Rod gives you the option to do both or not, Klara forces you to do both. I dunno. Oh.oh. Klara recovers back to your hand so you can use it the turn you need it. Yeah, this is better than Ordinary Rod, eh. 4-5
  • Dyna Tree Hill - 3-4

Klara's low-key an insane recycler. 2 discarded pokemon and 2 discarded energy directly to your hand? That's amazing for certain decks. Plus, battle compressor in expanded.
