Mega Lucario ex and Mega Gardevoir ex Revealed, Different Than the Original Mechanic!

Everyone is talking about how these are VMax again but almost no one has mentioned that mega Basics will be tag teams again.

I am not very fond of this being a new precedent for the game, regardless of how these 2 cards turned out so far.
That's the safest assumption, but they could recognize that as a bad thing and have basic megas still be stage 1. The way I see it, they just didn't want mega stage 2s to be a 4 stack, which is what they would have been if they were BREAK/LV.X-likes.

I mean, it’s only 20 more, but Mega Gardevoir ex could always turn out to be on the low side of the stage 2 Mega ex HP curve. (Both M Gardevoir EX had 210 HP when the max for M EX’s was 240.)
You seem to be ignoring that Mega Lucario is a Stage 1 with 340 HP, a feat that was reached only by Eternatus VMax. Because of that damned dragon now stage 2s have 300++ HP, and now Mega Gardevoir also has 360 HP.

If we keep one-upping numbers like this we might as well turn to Digimon with numbers counting in the thousands.

I’m not ignoring Mega Lucario ex’s stage 2 HP, I’m just saying so far the max HP has only been pushed to 360, but that it could get pushed higher by other Mega Stage 2 ex’s (say, as high as 380 or 400).

I don't see it.

Drifloon provides a crazy amount of damage for 1 prize card.

Mega Gardevoir is a three-prize stage-2 liability that Raging Bolt can consistently blow up for good prize trades. Especially with how slow Gardevoir is now.
Probably play one of each, because 360 HP is really hard to one shot for some decks and then you can just turo it

with Mega Gardevoir getting 360 HP, is fairly certain to say that we will get our first 400 HP (or more) card this year
No doubt we'll get Mega Charizard X ex that's Dragon-type and has an attack that does 400 damage, is competitively viable, and the SIR will cost $1500 and cause a frenzy that'll cause all other past chase cards to balloon in price yet again
