Mega Lucario ex and Mega Gardevoir ex Revealed, Different Than the Original Mechanic!

As guessed, today’s Pokemon Presents announced that Mega Evolutions will be returning to the TCG in 2025!

They will give up three Prize cards like Pokemon VMAX.
They will be the same stages as their regular forms: Mega Gardevoir ex is a Stage 2 that evolves from Kirlia. Because this isn’t how the mechanic works in the games, the cards specifically note “The Mega-Evolved form of (Pokemon)!”

I hope the Megas who never got their own cards get some this time around! Mega Pinsir, Mega Medicham, Mega Banette, Mega Latias, and Mega Abomasnow never got cards, while Mega Sableye and Mega Lopunny were only on Tag Team cards

No, just the Kirlias. In the trailer image, they’re confirmed to be I-block cards, and Gardevoir ex is G-block. So there’s at least a few months of overlap

Garde is an absolute behemoth that synergizes with the other Garde ex so ridiculously well. One-shots everything in the format while her regular ex version attaches unlimited amounts of energy to your mons to power up that attack. 360HP to top that off. Saying it's bad is... ambitious. Mandatory 1 or 2-of that will wreck havoc once you setup.

Lucario sucks though, unless he would have a nice synergy with something.
