I think that infernape needs to blended quite a bit more rather than being stuck on top of the effects. And looks to me as if the whole background is just one c4d . If that's the case than it probably needs some work.
To me the text is also to distracting being too far away and a bright red is not something that this tag needed. I personally don't go for text for that one reason that it steals the attention from the focal which should as I said be your Infernape but I was dragged to the text. So yeah I think you just need to work on your composition, blending and atmosphere than you'd have a solid tag.

and regarding the pokesunrise banner I think that as Pokemaister said the Pokemon font should be used in place for that font.
Very nice Sparks. I can't find any faults. The lighting seems accurate enough. I wish the left hand to be a bit more visible though. The lower left corners look a bit dark however.
The effects look pretty decent however the focal is pretty weak and needs to stand out a bit more IMO.
The lighting also seems a bit too strong but not too bad. Also seems to be a bit too much open space on the left hand side that can maybe be filled up with some minor effects. Maybe even a subtle nebula or space stock will do the trick.
Was also wandering what the hell that weird thing is on the right hand side which has the lightning effect next to it .
Anyways just a few changes and it will be a pretty sweet tag.

I made something out of sheer boredom.
Pretty basic. Just slapped 2 bgs then messed with the blending
Ok, the purpose I posted here is not completely to show this crap of a banner (God, I should do more abstracts)
I wanted to know whether anyone here use Cinema 4D. I just got it along with a nifty plug-in for PS CS5 but frankly I have no idea how to use the Cinema 4D.
Obviously I searched the internet for tutorials so far they didn't prove anything useful. If one of you guys have any ideas or know a good tutorial for a beginner with Cinema 4D please post it.
Thanks.

As I said in your Infernape one it looks like your whole background is just one c4d or two added with a render on top. You really need to blend in your renders to your background. To do this you can either smudge it in lightly, blur the edges or very gently erase the edges a bit. Depending on what style you do the blending technique will change. The mini sprite in the typhlosion one doesn't really need to be there either.
The typhlosion text is also a bit too far away from your focal and draws my attention away from the focal which is obviously meant to be the focus of my attention.
The colours match nicely together though and it's good to see they aren't perfectly centered. If you want a small introduction with blending and c4ds and how to place them check my Ben 10 tut in my tuts thread for some more guidance.
Keep working at it and you'll be a great GFXer in no time. KIU
The torterra one is definitely better than the others except for that random blackness on the right. But once again the text is too far away and distracting. I really think you should use gradient maps. It is a great way to kind of blend in your focal that much more and makes the colours mix a lot better.
