Discuss everything about Monopoly in here, including different versions, things you like about it, and things you don't like about it. I personally only like the original versions of it.

I like it. The problem is that it is a bit long. I have only once finished a 3+ player game. It is really fun to play with like 4 players. That game, I had the best properties (the last 2 with 3 houses each) but my mom had 3 hotels and I fell there a billion times!

The best amount of players possible in a Monopoly game is 3, at least strategy-wise. If you're not finishing the games, you're either not following the official rules, or you have bad strategy and the game gets drawn out (no offense).

Understood. Are there any particular strategies that are not too mainstream that you have to win? Mine is to get one of the 5-best Colour Groups (Orange, Light Blue, Light Purple, Red, Yellow (In that order)) and prevent opponent's from getting those groups (including railroads), and just sweep the competition. I beat my dad I'd say about 19/20 games.

I have a collector's edition that's built to imitate the first Monopoly to be created. It's pretty awesome.
I don't get how you win with the above strategy. I've tried it, but when something like that happens, you usually end up with 4 players who can't complete a color and the game never ends. Then again, we only play Monopoly if we are at least four people, so it might affect the trick. And of course, there's always the luck factor.
Personally, I always try to complete a color. It doesn't matter if it's the two first or the two last, having a color before others can get one usually does the trick.

You buy the properties from others.

The only good Monopoly in the last four groups is the Red group (Kentucky, Indiana, and Illinois). The order of how good the groups are (statistically), is Orange (New York, St. James, Tennessee), Light Blue (Connecticut, Vermont, Oriental), and then the worst colour groups BY FAR are the Greens (Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Pacific), the Yellows (Marvin Gardens, Ventnor, Atlantic), and the Dark Blues (Boardwalk and Park Place).

Are these based on the chance of people falling there according to common dice rolls or the prices? Because I've never seen an American Monopoly, only Greek and English, so I dunno their format.

It's a combination of those 2 statistics. The reason the last street sucks so much is that it costs a TON to build everything up to 3 houses, compared to the first 2 streets that barely cost anything for that.

I've always done good with green. People fell a lot in their. I will try it out next time. Which one was the order?

Orange
Light Blue
Purple
Red

The problem with the Greens are their cost. Fully developed, that's $3920. Compared to the Oranges, which cost $2060 fully developed. Here is the order of how good they are:

1) Railroads
2) Orange
3) Light Blue
4) Light Purple
5) Red
6) Dark Purple
7) Dark Blue
8) Yellow
9) Utilities
10) Green

(This list includes utilities and railroads)

One time I brought my pokemon monopoly to league and played it with one other person. The game lasted for about an hour and a half, until I won. :)

Gee, and everytime I played, me and my family would fight to race to get to Boardwalk and Park Place.

I always preferred trying to get all railroads myself.
