More things for GFXers?

It is obvious that we have quite a large GFX community here so I think maybe make some smaller subsections.
Sections like tutorials,resources etc.
True I've only been here for a while but I have noticed that we have a great group of new gfxers who could use some guidance etc.

-Sorry noob to forum speaking but do we have a GFX team here..? If not this should definitely be implemented. I have been on many sites and most of them do have a GFX team with like 4 leaders tops (2 Leaders, 2 COs.) These leaders can accept people into the GFX team and will be looked up to for advice etc. They could even take over the roles that the super moderators play in the slateport market.

Yes I love to GFX so obviously I want the best for GFXers on every site I go to ^^

Agree? Disagree? Comment on this idea guys ^^

While there are a large amount of GFXer's on the forums, most of them are really just spriters. I can easily say that we have about 5 or 6 people who actually do tags and stuff like that, which isn't enough to make a whole new subforum.

And yes, we do have a GFX group in the Groups section. It's sort of been dying out lately, with the leader being away and all.

I totally agree with PokeFanJosh on this one. Gliscor I see some spriters on here but I mostly see banner and avatar people. I think there should be subforms with tutorials, or at least a tutorial thread. And yes, we do have a GFX group in the Groups section.

Having a "group" of people who make graphics would be nice(I would like to see my name in red if this group could come). Though What he means is a real group. Like the Moderator's Group.

And we could also moderate the Slateport market, and any other Creation forum. It will save the Moderators from doing it. :)

A new subforum, or a new group is pretty much out of the picture right now. As others put it, we dont have a very diverse art community, as demonstrated by the death of AotW. If anyone has ideas for improving the art community, please post here, we'll gladly take any suggestions.

You can use image tags to post, and add images to your sig.
Use these tags:
Code:
[IMG]Yoururlhere.com/image.jpg[/IMG]

In the future, please use the simple questions thread.

Yes what I am also trying to say is with a tutorial section it will also help those wanting to start gfxing or just want to see how things are done

And yes EPM you are right I do mean an actual group with like different colored names :p

The reason why we don't have a group for artists and stuff is because this isn't necessarily an art forum. It's a Pokemon TCG/VG forum, and the art part is just for people to show off their stuff. And again to my point, there are still too little people who does tags to really have a new usergroup for them. My guess is that if you wanted to post tutorials, they can go into the Lilycove Art Museum forum.

Ok well I have been on many many sites even some Pokemon ones and even though they aren't necessarily an art community they still have quite a few sections dedicated to GFXers. I think a great Art community is great to have in any forum and we do have some great artists here like yourself.

I am totally agreeing with EPM and PokeFanJosh here. There should be an actual group called "Graphic Moderators" and have permission to mod all of the Creative Corner(and only the CC). They also should mod the new subforms made there too.(the tutorial station, the graphic help station, etc.) Also a thing you mods should love is that only the Graphic Moderators can mod it! :)

Yes thank you aha.
Yeah I've been on a few sites also like that where there are gfx mods. But not everyone can be a GFX mod like tops 4 people. The rest can be just normal Graphics Artists.

Though this might not happen. This is a pokemon forum to talk about VG/TCG mostly(Like they said up there). Most likely it won't happen. Though this was and still is a great idea. :)

yeah but also as I said (This is getting very repetitive aha) even though this is a pokemon forum forum there is no reason why we should not add this.
I believe every good forum needs a strong GFX team and I think with this added it will add something else to this site. There are hundreds of pokemon forums (no doubt this is one of the more popular ones) and with this added we can be more than just that and also appeal more to different audiences to help web traffic and activity in this forum. For example someone loves GFXing but loves the occasional pokemon game or two. Well he/she can come here and not only GFX but talk about Pokemon (reference to myself :p.) And vice versa with a pokemaniac who doesn't mind GFXing.

Well I guess that's all I can say so I guess the rest is up for the owners or mods or anyone with authority aha.

We'll gladly take suggestions or opinions on this matter. I would like to see the art community here grow, so anyone that frequents the art forums or does art - Post and let us know what you think.

Well, pretty much everything we said. The Graphic Mods,(I would like to be one of them if you make them) where only people who are good with art graphics and stuff can mod the Slateport Market and the Lilycove Art Station. Then we could have some sub-forums, such as a "Tutorial" section where we can post tutorials on how to do stuff, and a "Graphic Help" section where we can help anyone who needs help with graphics. :)

Guess I might as well.

If this does happen to improve Pokebeach's Art Community, a big thing we need are tag tutorials for Gimp. I'm very sure that most members on the forums cannot get Photoshop, so they go for the free Gimp. It can inspire people to do more tags and eventually help the Art Community grow.

If this does happen, we will need a leader. Though we might have to vote or just pick a random person.

Subforums are out of the picture right now, as the community isn't big enough yet. If I see you guys starting to post a lot of tutorials in the Art Museum section, I'll make a tutorial index sticky for them.

But they shouldn't be called Graphic Moderators at all! You see, most of the people making art aren't really up tothe job of moderating. I don't think you'd need a team, as this is a massive community rather than a monarchy/dictatorship.

Subforums? Yes. Extra user group? Never. Some idiots could end up with the ability to moderate and that would be AWFUL.
