Dark Knight Rises still on top! :D

I saw Total Recall last Friday. It was a good movie but not amazing. I give it a 3-3.5/5

Dark Knight Rises was really good. Althought o be honest, I think it was WAAY overrated. It got tons of hype - and, like I said, it was good - yet it didn't live up to that hype which is something that I always find a bit disappointing. The bottom line is that the Dark Knight was a lot better.

Speaking of better than Dark Knight Rises... (people will hate me for this but..) The Amazing Spider-Man KILLED TDKR. I'll admit, I've always been a Marvel > DC kind of guy. And I've always been a Peter Parker fan. But still, this movie went WAY over m expectations. And Emma Stone is just stone cold (lolpun) gorgeous in this movie. To be honest that probably did it for me.


In other news:

I saw Beasts of the Southern Wild. It was INCREDIBLE. I'll give it a 9.6/10 which is very generous for me. Unfortunately this movie isn't playing in many theaters (prob why its not on the list) but it's great if you are able to see it. Check out the trailer:

It was filmed in my state, LA!!! WOO! - But keep in mind I don't live way down south like that hah.

Oh and Ice Age was hilarious as usual. More so than the previous ones actually.

Has anybody seen this movie yet? I really love my indie/art house movies and this one seems very intriguing. Is it worth the watch?

Oh, and how brutal is the violence/sexual exploitation? I know it won't be anything I can't handle, but I'm still curious what to expect.

Wow, what happened to Premium Rush lol? From what I hear, it's actually an okay movie, although this should come as no surprise with Gordon-Levitt. The low budget and poor advertising really drove it to the ground.

Every horror movie these days is just trying to bank off of the success of Paranormal Activity. I'm surprised that The Possession didn't go the whole first-person-camera route, to be honest.

I suggest seeing The Cabin in the Woods. Pretty much disregards this statement.

That being said, I'm looking forward to The Last House on the Left more than this Possession thing. The former actually looks decent (to an extent) while the latter looks like trash.
