RE: Murder III: Deep, Dark Cavern: Day 4 Ends 5/13
(*points to post #286 of this thread* I totally called this theory up in the first place. I say it's viable, though I'm unsure why 42C would have left it out in the description if this was so.)
"I hope you realize, Piplup, that if Lanturn is killed and so am I or SY in the night, regardless of whether the murderer did lay claim on us last night, you will look very suspicious as a suspect all the same. You could be hiding some sort of 'storm' secret, like 'The Storms' clan or something else like that.
"...as much as I'd hate to admit it, though, Lanturn does have a bit more on the evidence side with you. Wasn't he somehow involved with the Unown incident too? I can't quite remember..." She paused, glancing around. "But one thing still has me with the HP issue: why would the murderer say 'everything has to burn away' if they used HP Electric in the first place? Why not 'everything has to be struck down by lightning' or something like that? It's a recurring thing on most notes that the murderer leaves behind..."
(...although it seems it would be impossible in the world of Pokemon altogether to have HP Fire be able to kill Suicune and Kyogre so easily...)
"But, I refuse to vote so far. There's one large potential clue that doesn't quite fall in place with Lanturn. True, we have 'calm before the storm'. True, we may have the 'Unown clue' attachment to him. True, Lanturn could easily wipe all of us out with electricity if he wanted to. But what about the 'ice' part that's been so avidly typed over and over again? Laturn, if I remember correctly, has little/no affinity to cold in general, as in it doesn't live in cold." Maelstra frowned as that. "True, he may be our best lead, but what if he's another innocent...?
"Also, there's been something that's bugging me...has anyone else noticed the whole random 'F for Flare, G for Gale' or however it went bit? It seems like that may be some sort of vital clue, but I cannot guess how either or relates to this game...
