RE: Murder VI - The Quest. Day 6 ends 29th August 8 PM GMT. Guy89 was the murderer! Catch the accomplice now!
(Here's why I think TheDarkLucario is the accomplice, given OoC because there's no way I can do it in character:
TDL based his entire argument off of the murder clues, which goes against my beliefs for smart play. It's possible he just got lucky linking Guy to his murder clue, but I don't subscribe to that right now. I think he found an opening and went for it. The only way he could link Guy so well to the murder clues is because he knows Guy is the murderer.
TDL also made a few comments that also cement my beliefs:
TheDarkLucario said:
If I was the murderer, I wouldn't choose an accomplice, I would see him as a threat.
This is exactly why choosing an accomplice can backfire. TDL turned on Guy the moment he saw the opportunity.
TheDarkLucario said:
...EVERYTHING IS NOT HOW IT SEEMS! CoG clues included.
I disagree. I believe the CoG clues _are_ what they seem, because the CoG know who the murderer is.
TheDarkLucario said:
Ice Espeon talked me out of quitting so...
[/Nervous laughter]
Hi?
I would bet the reason Ice Espeon talked TDL out of quitting was because he's the accomplice. TDL claims it was because IE called him a coward, which could possibly be true, but I think there’s a hidden reason behind it. We have plenty of players. What does it matter if someone quits? It only matters because it’s the accomplice who’s quitting. TDL tried to point the finger at Guy and his plan started to backfire. People started pointing the finger back at him. He didn’t think Guy was going to get lynched, so he gave up.
Then along comes Guy with a way out:
Guy89 said:
How do you know that the murderer isn't framing me and TDL?
Realizing he’s got a way out of this mess, TDL takes the bait:
TheDarkLucario said:
Dude Guy has a point, he could be framing both of us
BRAIN FREEAZE :x
The problem here is that TDL took great effort to pin Guy as the murderer. I believe the fact that he was willing to throw his entire argument out the window so easily means TDL tried to cut his losses and try again another day. However, TDL never actually took back his vote, so Guy threw him to the wolves:
Guy89 said:
TDL seems a little desperate to get out of this hole he dug himself.
Here’s Guy trying to distance himself from TDL. Kill the accomplice before he gets me killed.
Guy winds up getting killed anyway, but TDL isn’t out of the woods yet. There's still the accomplice. He knows that as soon as day comes, people are going to turn on him. He needs a way to get people off his back. Ding! Idea!
Ice Espeon said:
The accomplice hasn't killed anyone within the time limit. Day 6 starts now and ends 29th August 8 PM GMT.
What better way to get people off your back than to claim innocence through activity?
TheDarkLucario said:
No offence to who the murderer is, but your really inactive. Were searching for someone very inactive.
TDL puts his plan into motion. “If I were the murderer, I would have killed someone. I’m very active. It must be one of you, who barely ever post!” The problem with this is that the accomplice was never inactive. This is just a ploy by TDL to get people to stop looking in his direction.
I see TDL's latest post as the smoking gun:

Have you guys forgotten what Ice said:
Guy89 was killed that day, and he was the murderer! We have an odd situation as we have two killers and one wasn't killed by the other (like in Murder I). I'm going to say that you have won one Celebi. Guy89 is distributing prizes, so please ask him for it ( how ironic >;] ).
This whole message was directed towards me. [It also makes me the first winner]
I thought this actually cleared TDL as well. Concerned that Ice Espeon accidentally cleared TDL as a suspect, I sent him a PM about it (because it was night and I couldn't post in the thread):

Doesn't your latest post in the murder game basically confirm that TDL isn't the accomplice?
Not necessarily.
Why not? You said that it was the first game where there were two killers and one wasn't killed by the other. That sure sounds like a slip of the tongue to me. If it could be otherwise, I'd like to know how.
That was in the night however. A vote is different to a kill. This coverstion stops now as I don't want you to get any ideas about the identity of the accomplice from me.
I agreed with his reasoning, and decided that not wanting to unintentionally give out any clues was fair enough, so I left it at that.
A vote is different than a kill. You didn't kill Guy; you voted for him. Way to out yourself as the accomplice.
In addition to all this, Guy and TDL are friends. They’re both LOST nuts. TDL made a point to say that Guy had The Numbers banner in his signature, which was started by him (TDL). That’s just another link connecting them. It makes sense for the murderer to choose a friend as his accomplice. It’s less likely he’ll turn on him, but so much for that plan!
The only thing I can’t do is link TDL to the accomplice note, but to be fair, I didn't even try to; I don’t have to think about it when I’ve got this much evidence already.
Let’s kill the hero.)
Vote: TheDarkLucario (Raichu)
Vote: Guy89 (Tyranitar)
(In the event I'm incorrect about TDL being the accomplice, I suggest we enlist the murderer's help, which is why I vote for Guy. If there's some rule that says the murderer isn't part of the CoG, I'll take it back and just vote for Joeypals!!)
