Nooo. Come on, just because I have a scary name doesn't mean I'm the murderer. I mean, this has happened to me every Murder game I've been in. Darkness is a very vague word when it comes to this game. However, I understand where you're coming from and why you'd think that. And about the clue, I have no idea. It's probably all disinformation. We get the real info from the Council of Ghosts.

Vote: Shadow Arceus

Ooc: You shoud've chosen a better username, lawl.

IC: Growlithe walked through to the other pokemon and said, "Guys, settle down. We shouldn't actually vote until we see some unusual behavior from someone in the house."

OoC: @Porygon-X, maybe we should do a name sheet for the pokemon in game. Just an Idea.

Ooc: Sorry for not posting yet. Timezones.

I'll be away for 5 days and won't be able to post.

Also, I thought we abandoned the idea of killing on night 0. I thought we got rid of it after I died on night 0 becaue it didn't give the dead player a fair opportunity to play. Meh.

IC: Bad grammar could just be faked to set us on the wrong path.

RE: Murder VIII - Rescue Mission (Day 1! Day 1 Ends August 12th, 8PM EST!)

OOC:Sorry, I didn't actually change anything, I was considering editing it because I didn't do the item thing correctly, but I decided against that and didn't actually change anything. In case the item was done wrong, Item:B:B3

IC:I'm thinking Snorchu is a little suspicious because his logic doesn't really make sense. I mean, why would we want to lynch someone that the murderer wants to kill? That means we have a 0% chance of getting the murderer. I know a random lynch would be like, 3-4% chance of hitting the murderer but that's better than 0. It also means the murderer gets to proceed along his plan faster. I think the murderer might be picking less experienced players to target in hopes they won't give good CoG hints, so why would we help him by picking an inexperienced player ourselves? (no offense, Batui). Another thing I thought of is that since the murderer's notes will always try to frame someone, the people who say the note contains a clue are suspicious because they might be the murderer helping his own framing. I'm not voting yet but I would like to see Snorchu's defense. Actually, I really am thinking Snorchu is a good lynch since even if he isn't the murderer he is experienced so he can give us good CoG hints.

IC: "Snorchu, what exactly are you trying to do?" Feebas shook his head in disagreement. "If we kill the second person on the murderer's schedule then doesn't the murderer get what he wants? He just gets through who he wants to kill faster" Feebas smiled at his great logic. "I agree Batui, is a little suspicious, but only a tiny bit, and that's definitely not the reason why."

Yes, our chances on Day 1 are low. And yes, our chances if we lynch batui4 are 0. But! If we can extract the murderer's pattern more quickly, we'll actually have better chances on Day 2 of catching the murderer. Remember, this is only the first day, and we have NEVER been able to catch the murderer on Day 1. Ever.

And note how my first post says "first lynches". This includes the lynches on days 2 and 3. I'm not doubting your opinion of the quality of batui4's clues, I'm just changing my strategy to follow recent events.

Following my own logic, I would provide good CoG clues and would be a good early lynch. However, keep in mind that I have yet to survive past the first couple of days of the game (thinks back to the time when Jirachi (Joeypals!! the murderer) rallied everyone against me). Also consider the fact that I have usually (unwittingly) identified the murderer on the same day as my own lynching/modkill (remembers Murder III, when the Council of Ghosts first came to order: I identified the murderer but was modkilled when I tried to close and seal a forbidden RP arc). I would greatly appreciate a chance to actually play.

Speaking of things that usually happen, I have yet to be chosen as the murderer. I know it sounds like a weak defense (Don't lynch me, I'm not guilty!), but it's the sad truth (sad because I would really like to try my hand at puppetmaster). Coincidentally, in my own version of the game on SPPf, certain players are preferred by the Random Number Generator over others in terms of choosing the murderer. Take that however you wish.

Just use the actual forum names. If you use their 'roleplaying' names, it gets too confusing.

Eh? Wow. I did not know that. I just assumed... Sorry to everyone about that... (most importantly SA..)

RE: Murder VIII - Rescue Mission (Day 1! Day 1 Ends August 12th, 8PM EST!)

IC: "Hmm.." The Scyther thought. "I'd better look for an item." Scyther sat down in the grass and looked in A: C-2. "We don't have much to go on, I think the best thing to do is wait for Shadow Arceus to give us a clue."

OoC: Nooo! I wanted to be Shiny. :( Oh well. So weird that my only shiny in Platinum right now is Scyther.

RE: Murder VIII - Rescue Mission (Day 1! Day 1 Ends August 12th, 8PM EST!)

No one should be shiny. Sorry. :( Not that anyone could tell if the Scyther was shiny or not...

RE: Murder VIII - Rescue Mission (Day 1! Day 1 Ends August 12th, 8PM EST!)

Ooc: I put a shiny Scyther in the banner because I thought it was on purpose...

IC: *Ice looks in the grass for an item, careful not to mow it.

Item: A, A4.

Minccino started madly sneezing, and when he was finally done, he found himself in a patch of grass. "Ooooh, maybe there are some goodies in here." he said, and started searching.

Alright, I understand that reasoning. However, there is a good possiblity that the murderer wasn't actually about to kill Batui, and that they just said that to confuse us about the pattern. Therefore, lynching batui might hurt us because we won't know if the murderer planned on following through or not, so we could not determine his/her patterns.

And note how my first post says "first lynches". This includes the lynches on days 2 and 3. I'm not doubting your opinion of the quality of batui4's clues, I'm just changing my strategy to follow recent events.

Okay, seems to me like you are trying to make two points here. 1:I'm useful, don't kill me. And 2:I'd love a chance to play a long game. 1 is exactly what the alpha slime and leader of the shadow descendants said in the recent WW game, so that isn't a very good defense. 2 seems like you are being a mudkip and preying on our emotions by being cute and misunderstood. Just my take on it.

Speaking of things that usually happen, I have yet to be chosen as the murderer. Alright, I'm going to take that as you are an experienced player who hasn't been chosen to be murderer yet. That makes you a logical choice for murderer. Just sayin'.

However, while I disagree with the points you bring up, I am undecided and won't vote yet.

2 things on this one:

1. Long games are funner. :O

2. We already have SA, he seems like a pretty good clue giver.

Jus' sayin'

Ooc: Porygon-X, when will you tell us if we found an item, or maybe I just didn't find one. -_-

He tells us either at the end of the day or at night, iirc.

Ditto silently took in the events that had preceded the day. He wasn't ready to throw in his opinion, he needed more time.
"Better look for an item."

Item: A: D2
Vote: Shadow Arceus

OoC: Tell me if I'm screwing anything up.

The First Post That You Should Have Read Before Signing Up said:
Item Mechanics: Each day, a player may look in one place of the grass for an item. They look by stating the location on the map. (below) During that night, I will PM the player if he or she found an item. You may only hold one item at a time. If you have an item, and find a new one, you have the option to leave the new item alone, or drop the item you're carrying, and take the new one. Each item has special rules, of which will be described to the player upon obtaining the item. What item you have (if any) is secret to all the other players. You may reveal what item you have to the other players, but watch out! If you have a powerful item, the Murderer, if you do choose to say your held item, would also know what item you have, and may target you next.

:D

OoC:Sorry for not being active. I was busy the weekend and yesterday, and couldn't get on. I'm so sorry. I'll try to be more active. So,saw that Shadow Arceus got killed, but what else is happening now?

RE: Murder VIII - Rescue Mission (Day 1! Day 1 Ends August 12th, 8PM EST!)

OoC: We're basically trying to scramble for clues out of a note... not much to go by....

RE: Murder VIII - Rescue Mission (Day 1! Day 1 Ends August 12th, 8PM EST!)

Magikarp flopped around observing the situation. He decided that they should wait to find something that was an actual lead. So he flopped around to look for an item. Item: B: B3 The Magikarp, tired of flopping in the hot sun, decided to go in the pool before he died of heat exhaustion.

RE: Murder VIII - Rescue Mission (Day 1! Day 1 Ends August 12th, 8PM EST!)

Shampoo walked over to the grass patch A: B2 to look for an item.
