In: "While I agree with all of your rationale, I stand by my vote. batui's name is the only name that appeared in the note, so I think it's worth a shot. Who knows? Maybe the murderer's plans are to get us to get rid of batui for him/her. If that is the case, killing batui will cause the murderer to initiate phase 2 of whatever devious plot they may have."
OoC: I don't think batui's mention in the note was pure coincidence. Maybe the murderer has some beef with batui somewhere else on the forums?

Ooc: It's not just moving the plans along, it's about finding what the plans are in his/her confusion. If there plans are messed up, they may slip, and we will find a pattern of some sort. With that pattern, all is good.

If we help him activate "phase 2" we'll be a man behind, and yet we will still have NO CLUES!" Feebas was tired from all this yelling and flopped over to HypnoticLuxray.

"If the murderer is smart, he should be able to kill who is becoming a threat to them, without bringing suspicion to themselves. Helping him with who he wants to kill will not help us find this "pattern". If you'd like go ahead with your said plan, but two days from now when we have no clue who the murderer is don't blame me."

OoC: HL is merely repeating what I've been trying to say all along. It's not enough to only get clues from the ghosts and items; we must unearth the murderer's true intentions. In the SPPf version hosted by me, the accomplice-turned-murderer came up with her own pattern to deceive the townies: her first two kills were fire-types and the second two were electric-types, both of which has connections to water-types - but the murderer was a fire-type Pokemon!

Perhaps the rest of you are right, and the murderer's just trying to throw us off with the batui reference. There's only one way to test this, however, and that's to act on the note, even if it serves only to further the murderer's secret plot. If we play our cards right, we can increase our own chances. And believe me, I have plenty of tricks up my sleeve (i.e. my sister, who happens to have an innate understanding of human psychology). Of course, there's always the chance that I either get lynched or murdered before the time comes to reveal my hand. If that's the case, I'll wish you luck."
