Pretty good. You could have made a better animation to the text though. Other then that it is very nice
The background is pretty boring, try adding some more layers to it. If you go to the Tutorial and Resource thread you can find some C4Ds and Stocks, add like 2 c4d's and maybe 1 stock, and set the c4d's layer modes to overlay or hard light.
If you go to filters > decor > add border, make it a 1x1 pixel and black colored, that helps ^_^ but other wise pretty good for your first try. It's better than my first try -_-

Getting text right is something u gotta learn on your own. Try searching deviantart for some and it shows you how to put the text in formatio , best fonts to use,ECT. As for the C4Ds, don't use them until you can get a better of understanding of everything else. You can make it look better in others ways. Start off by experimenting with smudging, filters, and gradient maps and work out from there...

Now, there alot of problems with it but its not to bad for your 1st.
When your startinh out, theres no need for text.
Also if you start witha render then add a stock behind it then blur it slightly, that should be a fine BG for a 1st banner, then you got add effects infron of the banner such as c4d and brush's.

I must say I'm very pleased for you to be working in my shop SotS! You have good style when it comes to making banners.
