Maybe, I'm not really a fan of Rarity. The episode was alright, though.

btw, from my experience, i sometimes think the fans are somewhat overanalyzing this show. animators like reusing some background characters animation because it's easier work for them, then suddenly it becomes fan canon (i'm talking about you Lyra and Bonbon O___________O).

probably because it's fun. as the fans overanalyze the media, so the producers overanalyze the fans.

it happens with all forms of media.

Lol, one of my friends has that exact same design on a backpack. I am pretty jealous of it, I would love to where that to my school. I think he got it in Alaska, they have a lot of pony merchandise.

Well I would think it would mostly be that they see one character in the background that they like. Bonbon and Lyra actually have lines. Lyra also has this infamousness to her...for no reason. It's just fans watching the episodes over and over and picking out random things. Derpy was an accident right? They took out something in post and didn't think of the ponies behind thus we get this weird 6_9 eyed pony in the background. Someone points it out and it becomes popular. (I think that is what happened. Derpy was a pony that wasn't supposed to have her face exposed but oh well now she is pulling plugs and fighting mayors and has become her own character and brought viewers because of those eyes.) Derpy needs lines...that is how I'm going to end this

This episode, Big Mac's lines seemed extremely forced. I cringed after his first eeeyup. Also not quite sure why Granny Smith is getting so many lines now.

If you look closely in the background at 8:31, you can see Derpy. I guess Derpy failed school because she was cross eyed.

Why does Canada get the cool MLP: FiM lunchbox? :(

It's pretty random. It feels like she has had just as much screen time as Fluttershy over the last 4 episodes.

Not the biggest fan of Cutie Mark Crusader episodes simply because the main 6 are way more endearing and interesting personalities imo.

I think it's really just coincidence, all the episodes of late have had reason for Granny Smith's appearance (except Luna Eclipsed, that I cannot explain at all)

It brings a manly tear to my eye to see bacon posting in this thread, even if he doesn't know how to spell mane.

Yeeeah I agree. It seems like the main 6 (mane for you PMJ) are getting less and less screen time and side characters (like Derpy, CMC, Granny) are getting more and more screen time. I'm not sure how I feel about this.
