I bought a Pony card tin this weekend, they're really great. It was 12.96 where I live, worth it. The Twilight Promo comes out of the tin with slightly banged up corners most the time because there isn't anything holding it in place... I pulled (another) Gold Series Luna out of the 6 packs. Pretty great stuff. I have 2 Lunas and a Celestia now. I also completed the Element of Harmony and I almost have all of the non-holo cards in the set. Buying pony merchandise instead of Boundaries Crossed is a great decision.

man, I need some pony cards, but they don't really sell them around here. maybe I'll just buy packs online.

I managed to pick up Lyra and Trixie 3" burshables at Target, as well as a Rarity. right now I'm looking for Applejack and Fluttershy but for some reason Target never has them. ): maybe I'll also have to get those online. I took my Twilight and Cheerilee out of the packaging when I got them but now I kind of like having them in the packaging, so now I'm debating whether to open these or get packaged Twilight and Cheerilee. DECISIONS.

current wants: Applejack, Fluttershy, Zecora, Vinyl Scratch 3" brushables; Nightmare Moon and White Celestia 5" brushables; molded Shining Armor + Cadance, CMC brushables flower girl set

also zenith I realized later that I lied and I have twilight and rarity brushables

but I never brush them

I am a terrible human being

not having a premiere party, but I might go to my mother's house to watch it with my younger sister (as I don't get the Hub)

but bacon-senpai
pinkie is always beating me up and taking my box-lunch money
I don't have the hub either and that day is gonna be something involving VY's birthday so idek how I'm going to watch it. I guess I'll probably just end up livestreaming it on EQD. Gaaaah.

Yeah, so I was having a discussion on Serebii about how awesome it would be if there was a Pokemon crossover with the Mane 6 as gym leaders. However, it's hard to find teams for them. If they were to be gym leaders, what kind of Pokemon do you think they should have?

fluttershy: grass
twilight sparkle: psychic
applejack: ground
rarity: steel or rock
rainbow dash: flying or electric
pinkie pie: normal

?

Any particular choices for Pokemon?

I have different ideas for types, but I'm having problems finding Pokemon from that type to fit them. I was thinking:

Fluttershy: Normal
(some regional rodent)
Mincinno
Buneary

Pinkie: Multitype
Vanillite
Loudred
Drifloon

Rarity: Rock
(not really sure what kinds of Rock types would fit her, there aren't that many that have a gem theme which is what I'm going for)
Gigalith

Applejack: Grass? IDK for this one either. Do we really want a Rock/Steel and a Ground type? Those types are all pretty similar.

Rainbow Dash: Flying
(some regional bird)
Skarmory
Altaria
Braviary

Twilight: Psychic
Sigilyph
Reuniclus
Alakazam
Espeon
Metagross

My mom surprised me with this today.

all of my jelly

Rarity would probably not use Rock-types simply because they're too dirty. She might find Sableye's eyes appealing, but then again he is one of the creepiest Pokemon out there so he would probably weird her out.

I could see her commanding a Mienshao. It's not burly and brutish like most Fighting-types and fights with a style and grace she could appreciate.

IMO Rarity would use Normal types like Delcatty, Skitty and Meowth. 'cause you know, they're simply divine

That's what thought about rocks in general until she knew what gems are. I can see her using something like Gigalith (which is full of red gems), problem is there aren't too many Rock types that are based on gems (they totally should make more of them in future generations).

Problem is, she wouldn't specialize in Fighting types for exactly that reason, she wouldn't like burly and brutish Pokemon, and most Pokemon of that type are. Speaking of which, I had an idea for the Elite 4 as well:

Lyra: Fighting
Scrafty
Sawk
Gallade
Hariyama
Machamp

Spike: Dragon
Druddigon
Flygon
Salamence
Garchomp
Hydreigon

Luna: Dark
Absol
Houndoom
Bisharp
Umbreon
Zoroark

Celestia: Fire
Flareon
Arcanine
Ninetales
Rapidash
Volcarona

And the Champion:
Derpy: Normal
Exploud
Waillord
Tyranitar
Wobbuffet
Snorlax
Slaking

That might work, but then what would Fluttershy have? Normal suits Fluttershy better than Rarity since a lot of Normal types are based on cute, woodland critters not unlike the kind she takes care of in the show.

Well that's the thing - A lot of Psychic-types are hideous (see: Beheeyem, Exeggutor, Wobbuffet, Claydol, I could go on forever, pretty much everyone -but- Espeon, Mew, Jirachi, and -maaaaaybe- Starmie).

If Rarity were a Gym Leader, I doubt she'd specialize in any one type. So giving her a Mienshao is okay. :>

And even though Gigalith's body is full of gems, I don't know if she would use one simply because it isn't pretty.

She could use animal based grass types.

Twilight will use Alakazam, Metagross and other smart pokemanz,
