This is the best clan evar.

On the topic of pony names, I'm pretty sure:

Rarity- Likes to make expensive dresses, with rare gemstones and such, making them 'rare'.

Pinkie Pie- She is pink and bakes pastries and other sweets

Applejack- She farms apples, ???

Rainbow Dash- Hair is rainbow, can make a Sonic Rainboom (which is a rainbow), 'dash' means to go fast

Twilight Sparkle- ???, magic involves sparkles and such

Fluttershy- Has wings, thus can 'flutter', butterflies (which are on her Cutie mark) can 'flutter, she is very shy

Pinkie wouldn't have been Pinkie. Her conceptual design was based off Suprise, a Gen I pony. In fact all of the mane 6 were based off the Gen I ponies. With Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Twilight Sparkle, getting the biggest character design changes.

Hello everypony I have just joined the herd! Yesterday I saw the first episode and half of the second and decided I would become I brony. You guys pretty much have the names figured out so I think that subject is completed. How do you take an image from the show and add words to it? I'd like to make some of those =P

You watch the show, take a screenshot, then use a meme creator or photo editing program to add words.
Screen shots (on macs) are shift+apple+4 for the whole screen and shift+apple+3 for a selection.

Does anyone know how to take screenshots on a PC? I want to make pony pictures! D:< I won't be able to see the episodes very fast cuz my parents and brother will think I'm turning into a girl =P I'm just watching them on my iTouch instead of the computer.

There should be a Print Screen (likely labeled as Prnt Scrn) button on your keyboard. It will save the screen to your clipboard, just paste it into the photo-editing program of your choice.
