Hello thread, I am a fan also. Mind if I camp out here for a while?

Don't really have a favorite pony (too many to choose), but I find the world and its inhabitants fascinating. The animation is top-notch as well.

Also, I am quite fond of the FiW series.

I know this is INCREDIBLY old news, but since IDW is going to make MLP comics, do you think a Doctor Whooves comic series could happen? I'd LOVE to see that.

That would be interesting, yes. A full-out crossover would be nice just because I am a Doctor Who fan, though I'm not sure all how possible that would be.
 
probably unlikely. Doctor Who is more a British thing - I've noticed a lot of American companies don't really license with it.

pinkie pie's canon cannon was a pretty clever name

i like chrysalis! she's less raw power and more swarm-style strategy.

on the filly twilight fa i'd use a soften effect on her outline to make the fact that she was ripped from a screen less obvious or i'd try to look for a vector (though not sure one exists)

hoping for a shining armor + princess cadence LEGEND but that seems unlikely and difficult

I'm working on getting through the rest of season 2 before I go to Canterlot Gardens at the end of the month. I'm working on potentially getting a photography gig there to take pics at the con. Andrew WK is going to be one of the guests there, and i guess if everything goes through with it, I'll be taking pics of him for Rolling Stone's website. Keeping my fingers crossed on that one!
 
Excellent: someone else who's going to CG from here! I'll be up there on Saturday. I would go on Friday, but truth be told, I want to see the FiW panel.
 
Since I'm new to this, mind if I ask how Dr. Whooves got so popular? I've watched 7 episodes so far (i think 7, the one with the snoring dragon) sorry I'm a bit slow but it's because of school. So I might not be at the episode that made him popular.
 
he is a background character with no speaking role who got popular because he looks like David Tennant as the Tenth Dector and has an hourglass for a cutie mark.

A lot of background characters became popular for very subtle things. Doctor Whooves is popular by virtue of the fact that he resembles one of the Doctors (IDK much about the series, so don't ask me for specifics). Derpy is popular because of a brief, one second animation error. Lyra is popular because of an animation error where she is shown sitting down like a human would (most ponies like Lyra's friend Bon Bon are shown to sit belly first like a dog). Vinyl is popular pretty much just because she's a DJ, she's only appeared in two 5 second clips throughout the series. Octavia is popular because Pinkie was messing with her trying to get her to play the "Pony Pokie" during the Grand Galloping Gala. A lot of the most popular characters in the show are background characters that appear briefly but have interesting quirks.
 
Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Lyra become popular because of some fanfiction? I don't read fanfics, but that's always what I've heard.
