Plasma Kyurem Thrashes Klinklang, specially if you tech in a Plasma Frigate and put a plasma energy on Kyu

And Righteous Edge ruins kyurem's chances of ever firing off it's second attack. If your energy keeps getting discarded, it's very difficult to build up 3 energy, and even then, Cobalion NVI/Registeel say hai.

I completely disagree that Plasma-deck is going to be BDIF. All the hype around this deck is just begging Hammertime to swarm tournaments. Also float stone fixes aloooooot of clunky things in a few decks. Not to mention every deck already played could tech in DRX Drifblim and cause Deoxys EX to be nothing but a two prize liability. Thundurus being popular also adds a huge amount of power to fighters and decks that tech them (cough Hammertime with Landorus EX/Terrakion).

Everyone keeps saying about this Kyurem card, and I looked at it. It seems very mediocre. Can someone explain whats so great about that Kyurem that people are using in Team Plasma decks?

Its a Team Plasma Pokemon, which means that its attacks can be boosted by Deoxys EX. Since it does 120 base damage, with HTL+Virbank that is 150, and with 2-3 Deoxys EX on the bench it becomes able to OHKO EXes-while not being an EX itself, which makes it an incredible prize trader.

If we're still talking PlasmaBox, Righteous Edge is managable. If they discard it, then that's more energy you can get back from the discard. It does slow it down, but with Thundurus, Colress Machine, and manual attachments, you can definitely get the second attack off. Hammertime might give this deck a problem though, if it can stream hammers. Both matchups will definitely be annoying to say the least.

Can someone explain to me how the new plasma deck runs cause I haven't seen any lists...? I hope to develop a counter for it for everyone...

You use Thundurus EX to power up Plasma attackers like Kyurem (PF) and Lugia EX to deal massive damage after being boosted by multiple Deoxys EX

Thanks for the explanation. Now to develop a counter.....How about a Darkrai-formatted
deck without Darkrai? Using Tornadus and Cobalion instead? Here's the list I made up:

4 Tornadus EX
4 Mewtwo EX
2 Cobalion EX
4 Sableye

4 Hypnotoxic Laser
2 Virbank
2 Aspertia
4 Ultra Ball
4 Ether
3 Pokedex
Computer Search
4 Energy Switch
2 Energy Retrieval
4 N
2 Ghetsis

4 DCE
6 Darkness
4 Metal

Tell me what you think of this super effective deck... Could this counter it?:}]

Needs more Supporters and maybe Dark Patch for energy acceleration (over EtherDex because it saves space when you already have the Dark Patch engine minus the Dark Patch). Without Dark Patch + Energy Swtich, I wouldn't use Mewtwo to counter Deoxys because it's impossible to OHKO Deoxys out of nowhere while they can OHKO you with just attachment and Colress Machine.

I just looked and Troll and Toad singles preorder prices for Deoxys EX and Thunderus EX. Deoxys EX (regular) is going for $50 while Thunderus EX (regular) is going for $42. Looks like it will be awhile before I make a plasmabox deck if I don't get lucky with booster packs.

Tornadus and Mewtwo are weak to Thundurus and Deoxys, respectively. I think the best counter might be Darkrai with 4 Enhanced Hammer. They run all Special Energy, which is always fun for Sableye. Thundurus and Deoxys also only have 170 HP, which Darkrai can take full advantage of.

A more fun idea would be Cobalion EX/Kyurem EX/Terrakion/EtherDex. You use Cobalion early game to discard there Special Energy, and Kyurem EX late game to... well, discard there Special Energy, but with more damage. And Terrakion for surprise kills on Thundurus EX. Throw in some Lasers and maybe even Deoxys/Plasma Badge to add more damage onto it, and voila. I can see TCPI making your World Championships deck right now...

I like your idea. Maybe that plasma deck might even get beat up by a big basic deck with Cobalion and Landorous? That is a good idea.

Thats because its preorder Lugia EX was $53, and now he is $20, so i expect them to go down in price over time.

well lugia went down because of its playability. it was so hyped before the card hit, the price reflected it. now that it had been released, people realized it was slow without the complete engine.
