RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

Biggest upset of the second round is if the Warriors beat the Spurs. It's possible but, gonna be pretty hard to do with an incomplete team and seeing that mess during Game 6

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

But the Spurs have been waiting a while after sweeping the bum Lakers. Warriors have all the momentum heading into the series.

Well hey, old men need rest more than momentum. My heart does want the Warriors to win though. That team just impressed me so much during the regular season and even more during the playoffs.

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

I love the Warriors, however the experienced Spurs will really punish Golden State for their young mistakes. It will be a good series, but I think the Spurs will pull through and win it in six. This is a good matchup of youth vs experience.

Heat vs Bulls is a good matchup imo. Bulls actually have an advantage because of their far superior rebounding (Miami has what, Bosh and Birdman?). Miami does give Bulls some grief due to their better offense, so it will be interesting to see how one of the lowest scoring teams in the league keeps up outside of their defense. It's moments like this you wish DRose will man up and return to give Bulls that much need scoring. Undecided, but the Bulls fan and Heat hater in me says that Bulls will win lol.

OKC vs Grizzlies. Haha, no. Certainly doesn't help that your second best scorer is gone going against the best defense in the league. Grizzlies in five, maybe six if Durant makes things interesting.

I honestly don't care about Knicks and Pacers. Both teams had terrible spurts in round one, so no telling which goofs up more in this matchup. Pacers suck away from home and Knicks played too much iso last round. Since Knicks have the home court advantage, let's just say they win for that one reason.

San Antonio over Golden State in 6.
Miami over Chicago in 5.
Memphis over Oklahoma City in 7.
Indiana over New York Knicks in 5.

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

Reggie Jackson made a rookie mistake at the end and gets lucky on a missed free throw.

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

I don't think Memphis has anyone that can really touch Kevin Durant, but I could easily see this going south for OKC if they end up going like Clippers nation did with four straight losses. I'm all for being surprised to see what the Thunder can do going forward.

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

Huge win for OKC. They really needed to start this series against the Grizzlies strong.

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

Melo is having a rough game. Around 35% on field goals, five fouls, and he got clobbered by Psycho T. It doesn't help that his shot selection is poor as hell and he keeps forcing too many shots. JR Smith is also having a rough game.

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

I'm rooting for the Bulls in their games against the heat. They beat the Heat once, stopping their streak, so they can do it again.

I hope they can put up a decent fight without him in all seriousness. I guarantee Miami wanted to face the Nets instead, so Bulls better come to the party and throw down.

Coming out as the only voter who didn't give LeBron a first place vote would be harder than what Jason Collins did.

It must have been Spike Lee.

Indiana really clamped down on 'Melo and J.R Smith, and caused both of them to throw up errant shots time after time.

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

Bulls have amazing passion. That trumps stats and facts almost every time.

Still want Rose to stop cheerleading.

RE: The Official NBA Discussion Thread

Nah, he can cheerlead all he wants. The current roster is working well now.
