Thanks! I'm pretty happy with how they turned out, especially Fairicity. I dunno what it is about it, but I find myself staring at it often... If you close one eye and stare at the artwork, it looks like Fairicity is floating above the cards. I guess that's why they call them holographic!

I think my fakes have improved significantly since I switched to Photoshop. GIMP was fine for most of my printed fakes, but Photoshop does a much better job on smaller fakes not for printing (though it would do just as well or better for printed ones). It also makes faking much faster by not having to create new layers just to add italic text. I've read that the newest version of GIMP handles text better than the one I use, but my Power PC can't run it. Of course, I guess there's no need since I have Photoshop. I still have a habit of doing any blank edits and applying artwork and foil with GIMP, though.

Chansey is amazing. If it was real and in this format all heck would break loose :p

Really nice cards. I love the art and interesting attacks/pokepowers. Keep up the good work :D

These cards are gorgeous! Absolutely stunning. :) I would love to see these as real cards. I think it would be nice to have Pokemon holiday theme cards. They should start doing that!! lol

EDIT: Just noticed, the '40' for Blissey's attack is a tad too high. ;)

Yeah, I agree that holiday cards would be nice. I think the closest they've gotten was Birthday Pikachu (4 variations, I think).

I've noticed that a lot of Neo-era cards have the damage a bit too high, such as this Chansey and, even more extreme, this Chikorita.

UPDATE: So now that I know for sure that the new Pokémon is indeed Mewtwo, I decided to make a card of it. I honestly didn't think that my recent artwork of Zora-Mewtwo would work well on a fake, but with a few effects added, I don't think it turned out too bad.

I don't think the question mark used for the second attack's damage was needed at all. I just wanted to put something there to balance it out. However, due to the combination of dark background, texture, and foil, it's difficult to even see it.

Now if only I could get around to making my CAC entry...

Personally, I don't really like it, the background and galaxy holosheet are waaay to harsh and hurt my eyes :'( plus it made it hard to read the text. And Enigma bomb doesn't need the '?'

I agree with the galaxy foil/readability issue. I took what you said into consideration and made an updated version:

I would also like it to be real. I would love to see any of my artwork on a real Pokémon card. Unfortunately, it will probably never happen, so I'll stick with faking for now.

How did you make that texture? I tried making my own texture...And I failed.

1.) In GIMP, open the Pokémon artwork (preferably the exact size it will appear on the card). If it doesn't already have a transparent background, remove the background.

2.) Go to Colors > Colorize. Move the Lightness slider to -100 and click OK.

3.) Duplicate the layer.

4.) With the background color set to white, go to Layer > Transparency > Remove Alpha Channel to make the background of the new layer solid.

5.) Go to Filters > Distorts > Value Propagate. Choose More White and click OK.

6.) Go to Layer > Transparency > Color to Alpha. Select White and click OK.

7.) Go to Colors > Invert.

8.) Duplicate the layer.

9.) Go to Colors > Invert.

10.) Go to Layer > Transparency > Remove Alpha Channel.

11.) Go to Filters > Distorts > Value Propagate. Choose More White and click OK.

12.) Go to Layer > Transparency > Color to Alpha. Select White and click OK.

13.) Repeat steps 3-12 until the entire silhouette is textured. This could take a while. Merge the layers when you're done.

14.) Paste the texture above the artwork layer using a Multiply 50-70% Blending Mode. If the artwork has any black areas, duplicate the Multiply layer and change it to Screen 20-30% and drag it below the Multiply layer. Merge these three layers and increase the Sharpness by about 30-50% (depending on the intensity you want).

That's it for the custom texture! Now all you have to do is pop it on your card and add a refractor foil sheet.

That looks so cool. I wonder if I might actually be able to use that technique in a signature one day, and have it turn out looking snazzy.

Read HP as "Hit Points" if the Pokémon Power doesn't sound right. It's correct wording.

It's been a long time since I've faked exSeries, but I figured this would fit my illustration.

I adore seeing those classic fake cards. There is one tiny grammar error with it however.
"...its remaining HP become 10 instead."

He pointed it out to me on dA and here that HP is Hit Points not Hit Point, so become is correct (...its remaining Hit Points become 10 instead.)

Also, that foil Vileplume is sexy.

I do, too. I like Classic-Neo cards much more than the newer ones and wish I saw more people faking that style. Some of those full-arts looks pretty spiffy, though.
